This is a solid quality car that I had the pleasure of finding in 1988 in a wrecking yard in Orland. Ca. where it had been hauled to and saved because of its complete and straight condition. I purchased it and took it home. ut fuel and a battery in it and drove it for a year or so needing a top. aint. nd upholstery. I sold it to a local man you does cars who had one like it in college and he restored it into the beautiful beast it is today. He put about 300 miles on it locally in parades and local events and I bought it back about 10 months ago . The next exciting acquisition awaits so this car is on the block. Now for the details-the car was originally a 383 two barrel car-now has a fresh 1964 413 motor from an Imperial with 68 magnum exhausts and new complete exhaust system with Smitty mufflers. Car originally was gold with tan interior and a white top. Red is better-correct 1964 red by the way. Power top works perfectly. Car had small half- dollar rust hole in left rear footwell repaired with a small piece from a parts car. Otherwise rust free and straight. Car has almost all of the original air conditioning system installed but will need to be sorted and charged. Car runs great and stops fine. One of the most awesome things about this car is the quality of the hard to find trim and especially the chromed diecast pieces that are virtually like NOS. Has the original rims and spinner wheel covers. ack and spare in a tricked- out custom trunk. Lights work. urn signal return feature not working. Am radio works-extra gauge cluster with clock included. Gas gauge does not work-probably sending unit. Overall a great cruiser and thumbs-up collector.
