For sale is my nearly complete 1968 Dodge Charger. Relocation is why it's for sale and I will still be doing work on it until it is sold. When I bought it. the idea was to build myself my own R/T. So I have made all the upgrades even though the vin is an XP29 it really is an XS29. A clone as it is called today. The upgrades are as follows: Leaf springs. Two added to the existing each side. then heated and re-arched by Arizona spring co. New shackles installed. teel plates installed. new upgraded torsion bars much thicker than originals. Charger was an original 383 now a 440. Has been completly walnut shell blasted at the different steps of restoration. For example; when old rear Quarters were off all the exposed insides were blasted. cid etched primed and painted with POR 15. There is no exposed metal inside or out. The light bar was blasted and powder coated as were the upper and lower controll arms. The K member was removed. blasted and I had a 1/4 inch steel square welded over the seam on the bottom center. hen powder coated as well. Well what's new ? Glad you asked. Other than what's mentioned. The trunk including the extensions. ear light panel. lower valance and both corner caps. the gas tank is new and so are the straps and the fuel guage. Both front fenders. the inner and outer tie rod ends. ball joints. pitman arm. idler arm all bushings and the brakes upgraded from drum to disc. All 4 Shocks. ll heavy duty. rears with helper springs. As far as interior goes. t had nothing when I bought it. it now has frames only for the rear seats and 1970 Charger front seat frames. all blasted and painted. the dash board has all the guages and they all work(had them tested)all the switches work except for the dimmer switch next to light switch. The speedometer is missing the needle(working on that now) and the clock is out for repair. I have ordered new stickers for the insturments. Should be here any day now. I have a complete center console. Like I said I was going to keep this car so I covered it with real leather also the door and upper center (the part normally covered with a wood grain sticker on the 69 and 70's) also covered with leather. Baseball glove oil works great on these parts. The engine bay is painted Brillant Blue Pearl. This is the same color as the Viper the first year it came out. This was going to be the color I was going to paint the car . but it will be buyers choice. The doors are from a 1970 Charger so the locks are in a different place (moved foreward in 69 and 70). There are many other parts that I have and everything goes with the car. Oh yeah. I have a grille on the way.
