1965 Coronet 440!Roller-Ready for your big block!
You are bidding on a 1965 Cornet 440. I recently purchased this car with intentions of doing the body work and putting in my big block but to many projects to complete this one! This is an outstanding start to one bad ass 65 Coronet. These car are getting harder and harder to find and this one gives you the solid foundation to make it easy to turn it into a high dollar 65!!
Body- The car was an oldbracket car for awhile and was put on the road over the last summer according to previous owner. the car appears to have been repainted white awhile back. The car will need complete bodywork and paint. This is an easy body work project for the average body man. The fenders are in good condition withexception of some bubbling at lower driver side. There is a dent in passenger fender as notedin photo. The doors are in great shape and with very light surface rust on bottom edges. The quarters will need the usual wheel lip and lower work but theses patches areavailable from Sherman for $110 or fix what is there. The roof and trunk skins are in great shape and dent free. The trunk lid is in excellent shape and is not rotted around the bottom edge as most are. The trunk floor has somescalyspots but no rot. I will get a photo in trunk floortomorrow. The floors are nice with no rot. The hood is a lift off fiberglass race hood. There is 0 rust on or around the cowl! The wipers are actually attached as they should. All of the trim is 100% complete as seen on the photos. Bumpers areusable as driver or good for re chrome. Again the body needs work but easy work and parts areavailableto get it done right.
Engine- What ever you want! The car had a 440 in it right before i purchased the car. The car will come complete with A set of Headman Headers and full exhaust system with 2 1/2 pipes withflowmaster 40's all theway back as factory. The car is a complete MSD 6al setup with coil and brand new engine wiring harness. The engine bay is very clean and rust free There is a fuel cell in the trunk with electric pump and filter under car. Included is thefactory filler neck so you caneasily put afactory tank in it for $125 plus a sending unit. The car has rebuilt power steering box and included is a Big Block power steering pump. The car wasoriginally a column shift but now has a Hurst Quarter Stick on the floor.
Rear- The rear is an 8 3/4 with new 3.91's and a sure grip. Car also has weld in Subframe Connectors.
Interior- As you can see in the photos the interior is all there for the most part. It is missing the dash pad. The seat covers have a couple small rips but it is allusablefor a driver. The headliner is complete with one small hole. My plan was to take all the chrome trim down clean it up and paint, clean up theupholstery, pray the headliner and call it a day. The glass all lines up nice and the doors shut well. The frontwindshield does have theusually foggingin the corners but usable.
Wheels- The car is rolling on an old school set of American Racing TqThrusts 15x5 and 15x9 in rear. 275/60/15 drag radials in the rear with MT etfronts.
Brakes- The car has brand newpower disc brake set up with SSBC calipers up front. All new lines booster, aster etc.
This is a great car and I am sad to see it go. My loss is your gain. The pictures tell the story. If you have any questions please email me.
Good Luck!
