Really a lot of potential here. Unique manual transmission. 6 ft bed. Great basic truck. No frills.
Please read, ots of info, 'm happy to fill in any blanks. I got an estimate where I have a general idea of the damage these critters did, nd it's not a job I would take on myself. Would be a great vehicle for someone who can do the wiring or knows someone. The shop will charge many man-hours going through and replacing wiring. The big cost is the labor for rewiring, nd the main harness needs to be replaced I'm told. I will be quick to respond to questions and requests for more pics, nything you want to ask. Over the last 5 months the truck has been sitting. Has not been started. Was sitting in a garage for a while, ow it's in my driveway. Was a smooth and well-running truck until the squirrels had access to it while it sat for several months. Is easily eager to run another 100,000 miles.
Truck is disabled due to critter damage: Squirrels have chewed through the wiring in the back end of the truck, nd also around the main harness up front needing replacement. Much wiring and the main harness will need replacing I'm told by my guy. Was running and driving great before then.
Prior to critter damage: truck ran great. No starting issues, o running issues, mooth clutch and shifting. Drives like a dream. Most recent repairs with documents were replacing the heater core, eplacing the heat pump and servicing the cooling system (all related) over a year ago.
Body issues:
Rust on rear panels around the wheel wells on both sides, s visible. Not just surface rust, t penetrates into layers.
Rust on the bottom of that center part behind the door but in front of the bed. Rusted through that bottom-most part (shoebox size)
Other than those regions on both sides, o rust. Front end of truck and doors is quite beautiful.
There's a little dent in the chrome rear bumper but no crack or rust it's a nice chrome bumper.
Windshield is cracked.
Seats and dash condition:
Good, ot great (Some gouges in dash, eats not torn & worn but just OK good, ome slight discoloration on a couple patches of seat).
Split bench with fold-down armrest/cabinet.
5-speed stick on floor
Floor is the work-truck black rubber floor. Easy clean.
No accidents. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A/C & Heat works great.
Tires are worn. They all hold air and all, ut you'll just have to count on replacing all 4 after repairing.
Smooth clutch action, ransmission great.
Engine had no issues prior to squirrel attack. But has been sitting for 5 months, ould recommend replacing belts and fluids.
Wheels are cool, ftermarket Keystone. Some rust on center caps, eed some attention to make beautiful again.
Factory stereo included in box. There's a fancy Pioneer USB/bluetooth stereo in it now that I could leave installed as a side deal.
The pneumatic fiberglass bed hard-cover IS included. 2 keys, ecurely locked, xcellent condition, erfectly matched factory white.
Bed has nice liner that has seen light use.
Battery comes fully charged and powers the cabin up just fine. Car turns over strong but won't start due to the wiring/electrical issues.
Aside from squirrel electrical damage, verything works as it should. A/C blows cold, peakers rock, ir bags never deployed, ome lights bright, tc.
BUT!!**
The gas has been sitting in it for 5 months. Will need to drain and replace the gas and motor oil before starting to avoid having any crud circulated.
Have some maintenance records.
Has been largely neglected over last 5 months, side from rolling tires, eeping battery charged & cycled.
White exterior / Gray interior.
Towing package used occasionally, asic setup installed by U-haul.
Will need to be towed or transported. Turns over strongly but due to squirrel damage it will not start. I'll help any way I can... it's a huge driveway off to the side for easy level no-traffic pick up.
Truck is repairable, ut is sold as-is. The only issues causing the vehicle not to run to my knowledge is the damage to the wiring/electricals from the squirrels, nd the truck was running very well and driven daily prior to that issue. Buy for its repairable potential. Lot of life left in this truck, nd a little TLC will make it really sharp.
