1998 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 Cummins Diesel

Very reliable truck that was a former service truck for a Cummins dealer most its life (I believe we are the 3rd owner). It has had a new engine and transmission done when owned by the Cummins dealer within the last 100k miles from what we were told, nd we have owned the truck for 3 years and put less than 10k miles on it during that time. We also replaced the radiator and both batteries last year. Truck was just serviced including a new fuel filter. Tires have many miles of tread left. Truck also has a bed-liner and under bumper tow hitch installed. This truck is the 1998 1/2 model year with the 24 valved Cummins diesel engine.
The truck does need a few mechanical repairs,such as new front brakes/rotors, nd tie rods possibly as well due to play in the steering wheel. My 76 year old mother owns the truck and being on a fixed income she didn't want to pay shop prices to get it fixed when she barely drives anymore (her typical driving week is less than 3 miles). It still drives GREAT despite these repairs and can drive cross country to its new home if need be without issue, n fact I took it to Michigan and back to California towing a car and it gave no trouble at all. As far as cosmetics it does have the typical Dodge cracking dash, nd various dents on the body from its life as a work truck. The paint is great, ice and shiny and NO clear coat peel. The interior is clean, ome stains that would come out with a shampoo, ever smoked in and seats still have great support. All power options work. The AC works. The radio does work on/off but something is wrong with the volume control so it is very quiet. It is missing the cup holders on the dash. The windshield is cracked from my mother thinking it was a good idea to rinse the dust off in 100+ degree heat with cold water from the hose...
Starts right up. No smoke. No leaks under the truck. Transmission shifts smooth just as it should. Truck gets 18mpg average even when towing. This is a SOLID WORKHORSE that despite the miles has that newer engine/transmission and runs practically like new. I'm sorry we do not have the paperwork but local buyers may check out the truck in person or for out of area buyers I will be posting a video to YouTube showing the truck (contact me for link) at start up, luid check, riving, ct. Passes California smog and has current registration with a clean title in hand.
Because my mom is 76 years old and barely drives the truck we decided its best for her to have a smaller car at this stage in her life, his is only reason we are selling this truck. It has been a great service to our family (mostly myself when I wanted to tow something) and if I didn't already have a Suburban (due to seating needs) I would keep it for myself.
