This is a relisting from a buyer who didn't follow through and is still up for sale. This is the kind way of putting it! Up for auction is a 94. 85 actual mile 1972 Dodge Charger SE restoration project. It has the original matching 400 Big Block with a 2bbl and a non matching rebuilt 727 Torqueflite automatic. This car had been in storage since 1985 but had been kept in running order during those years. It recently had a full tune up. new tires and aftermarket wheels. new exhaust and the carburetor rebuilt. I just had all the fluids gone through for preservation and it starts. runs and drives good after all those years. It was driven from 1972 until 1984 as a daily driver in Wisconsin and has suffered the rust and wear as would be expected. The previous owner had the car painted in 1984 from its very rare HEMI ORANGE (V2) to green. It looks like crap too. but less than 600 were made and this was the last year of the high impact colors so I would paint it back to original. I think he hit his head. LOL. It has bondo filler. and is tinned over in the trunk pan and would need quarter panels and a trunk pan to restore properly. I have the two original Hemi Orange doors that will go with it that have a few small dings but are in what I would call very good condition that will help in the restoration. The rear trunk frame rails appear to have rot but may be repairable or replaced when doing the trunk pan if desired. The floor pans will also need likely need replacement and or repairs as well. but have not been able to get it in the air to take photos so bid with that being disclosed. Overall this is a good foundation for a restoration project being that it is a rare color and a Big Block. Once again. it is not a show car and will need restoration. The interior is original and will need the front seats recovered. however the back seat is in good condition. The headliner has a couple of small holes from critters that made there way in years ago. Vacant now. Overall it is original and will need restoration in various areas. For those of you that are astute Mopar experts. you will notice that this car is absent of its hideaway headlights. The car originally came with them. however the previous owner removed them for another car. I do have some of the components that I will include to help put it back the way it should be. I have the motor. rod. one of two bezels. nbsp;the rest will have to be hunted down. There are good areas and bad areas. but with it is a 42 year old car and is difficult to notate every detail good or bad so it is being sold "AS IS. AS IT SITS". If you would like to have the car independently inspected where it sits you are welcome to do so at your expense so there are no surprises. Although the 3rd generation aren't as crazy as the generation 2's. they are picking up quickly in value and collectability and will make for great investments long term. I know we will all say remember when down the road! These are doing nothing but going up in value and getting harder and harder to find. I am offering this at what I think is a pretty low reserve as I know it will need a complete restoration but has the right ingredients. Please feel free to ask questions and I will answer them as best as I can. As is always the case. please ask before bidding. If you do not have any feedback score I will remove your bid. Sorry but I'm not interested in non buyers so you will need to contact me before bidding if you are interested. I purchased this car with the intention of doing a full restoration as it is a complete car. however. we are getting ready to move and am not ready to take on the project at this time. If you need assistance with shipping. my friend owns an auto transport company and can pretty much ship throughout the U. S at your expense. I take great pride in being a 100% seller and do my best to be upfront in my descriptions good and bad. I reserve the right to end the auction early as car is for sale outside of auction and can end it at any time for any reason. Thanks and Happy Bidding
