NO TRADES - NO OFFERS will be considered at this time, if you like the car then please bid. ZERO feedback bidders will have their bids canceled, sorry. The car is located in Danville INDIANA at the famous THE FINER DETAILS Mopar restoration facility, just outside of Indianapolis. This is a factory purple V Code 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, with its original numbers matching 440/6 engine and a non #'s matching auto transmission. The car had a 4bbl manifold on it when I bought it so no carbs came with it. (its correct manifold is on now) Complete with original fender tag, matching cowl number, core support number etc. The 440 has gone through a professional rebuild by Mendez Motorsports (all receipts on hand, nearly $5000 total in the motor) by the well known drag racer and engine builder Robert "Bobo" Mendez. I'm selling this car only to pursue another car, and I am currently in the middle of another Cuda restoration. This car has a KILLER color combo- FC7 "Plum Crazy" with white interior, white vinyl top and its a white longitudinal stripe car. This is a buckets and console car with rally dash. (no build sheet found yet) Most of the car has been taken apart, (engine and trans out-interior out-i ripped the vinyl top off-grill out-bumpers off - taillights removed-etc the car is a roller now) everything you see in the pictures is included along with a few small odds and ends. The seats were recovered years ago and need a good cleaning. Both front buckets and the complete back seat are here, the door panels were just too bad to save unfortunately. The original hood is gone, it needed too much repair and I planned on just buying a new one. The bumpers are here, the hood hinges, date coded HP exhaust manifolds, headliner with bows still in order, all of the major stainless trim has been professionally polished by Pro One Polishing, in Hobart IN. (you can see it all wrapped in saran wrap in the pics). That was about a $600.00 investment. All of the inside white metal window trim is here, the original power steering pump, pulleys, seat belts, headlights, buckets, trim, wiring harnesses, dash, sun visors, console, tail light housings, marker lights and housings, horns, starter, etc, all here just to name a few. I will post a couple of shots of the complete car how I got it, but understand it is disassembled and is a roller at the moment. All parts are boxed up nice, it isn't a huge mess by any means, very easy to transport. The rebuilt 440 is bolted to a small engine stand, and can easily be transported. If you are familiar with the award winning restoration shop The Finer Details, you may just want to contact Ken to do the work on it, its there and ready to go. All of the glass is still in tact, as well as the dash. All suspension, fuel tank, brakes, are still in tact and the car can be pushed around or trailered. The frame rails are great with no issues, the car has the obvious bad areas under the old vinyl top. Doors seem solid, all sheet metal appears to be the original. The trunk seems good and solid, someone did do a minor skim coat of bondo in one area years ago probably due to some pin holes- but this car is no basket case by any means. I wouldn't have bought it. The fenders, doors, firewall, core support deck lid, all good and no serious rust or damage can be seen. The floors are very nice, some slight surface rust going on, couple of small patches under the drivers area but thats it. The pics are pretty self explanatory. The engine now has the correct valve covers and six pack manifold installed, it was painted (with a gun) with the correct 440 orange by Frank Baddleson. 100% real V Code with the original engine, no surprises. I bought the car from Ken at The Finer Details back in 2012 and its been in storage there ever since. I stopped the whole project to build a 71 HEMI Cuda project instead. I have tried to cram every photo I could into the auction and can provide more if needed. No hidden surprises, both sides of the car look exactly the same. I am only running this auction for one week at the moment, prompt is payment due after the auction ends. The car is sold as-is, where is and with no warranty. Bank wire or cash preferred and due within three days of the auctions end. Clear title in hand. Buyer responsible for any transport and are liable for taxes in their state of residence.
