Dodge Diesel Ram Laramie SLT 5 speed, LOW miles, One Owner! Very hard to find. Especially in this shape. I am reluctantly forced to sell the best vehicle I have ever owned, due to knee surgery. My doc says to give up the manual transmission. I hate to do it, as I love driving this truck. I also love never having the slightest worry about it having problems. I bought it new in 1999, special ordered, and have driven it mostly for vacation traveling. I used it mostly with a slide in 8' camper. I also had an aluminum gooseneck horse trailer that I towed occasionally. Recently we have used it to travel with our ultralight single axle travel trailer. The truck has been meticulously maintained with oil changes every 5000 miles, using only Shell Rotella oil. It has never used any oil between changes. All of the changes were performed by me, to ensure they were done correctly. Only 152K miles. It’s been awhile since I did a fuel mileage check in it, but last time it got 26 MPG! With no load, and 19 pulling a trailer. The 24 valve Cummins, turbocharged diesel engine is IMO, the best engine ever made in a pickup. This is my 2nd one and the first truck was just as smooth, strong and dependable as this girl has been. We just returned from a 5K mile trip to the rocky mountains and the vehicle performed beautifully, as it has since new. If you are looking for a strong, dependable, fun truck that will take you (and anything) anywhere and get you home smoothly, this is the truck. Features: Power windows, locks, remote, power mirrors etc. Security system. AC, Cruise, AM/FM CD & Cassette radio. Towing package. Wired for Tekonsha prodigy brake controller with cradle. Just plug it in. Limited slip differential that has always been serviced with the correct Mopar fluid. Has all the SLT package features. Compass etc. Very comfortable seats that make long trips a pleasure! Added features: Custom made tie downs for slide in camper that retract out of the way. Truck also has overload springs, in case you want to use a slide in camper. Disappearing Curt goose neck hitch, with wiring. Professionally installed, I recall @$800 Topper was put on to hold my cartop boat rack. The topper has some of the clear coat coming off in places & could use paint or compounding, but is serviceable. The boat rack supports will be removed, and bolts inserted to fill the holes. I installed an aftermarket back up camera that works great. A must for hooking up a trailer by yourself. There is currently a Bedslide 1000 installed (see pics) that is not included with the truck. I will never have another truck without one of those. They are amazing :o). If the new owner of this truck wants it. You can have it for 600$. They cost @$1000. If not, I’ll put it in my new truck prior to pick up. The truck has nice paint and has always been kept under cover, with a small electric dehumidifier in the cab to prevent mildew or musky smell. The truck has never been smoked in and smells clean. The upholstery is about like new, having spent most of it’s life with sheepskin seat covers. Carpet is nice with a few old areas of light shadows that would probably come out with a little scrubbing. No cracking or checking anywhere. The only thing I can think of is the sunglass holder latch doesn’t hold and the door droops. Probably an easy fix. It never bothered me, so I didn’t check into it. Never been in an accident. No rust etc. The only damage the body had was when a tire blew out (right rear). I never got around to getting that area smoothed out and painted. Should be an easy job. There are some normal use dings and scratches as you would expect, but overall she is in very nice shape. I also believe this body style is the best looking pickup ever made.. These transmissions (New Venture) NV4500 transmission is one of those special 5 speed manual transmissions that has it all) were incredibly smooth and strong, as well as reliable. They did have one design flaw that usually showed up between 100 -200K with the 5th gear. The locking nut backed off, making it basically a 4 speed transmission. Last year I had the transmission upgraded. I did a lot of research and had an excellent manual transmission specialist, here, install the new style upgraded main shaft, and new style locking nut. While he had it out, I had him completely rebuild the transmission, with all new parts, including replacing any gear with the slightest wear, and of course, new OEM synchronizers, seals bearings etc. And refilled with the recommended Mopar fluid. This transmission is now better, stronger & smoother than new.. No expense was spared on it. $1800+. Another thing I upgraded last year, was the front end ball joints. Even though they weren’t worn, the rubber boots were cracking. Plus, I never liked not being able to grease the original ball joints. I had them replaced with high quality ball joints from NAPA that are greaseable. Also had the tie rod ends replaced just for good measure. The Firestone (load range E) tires have about 8K miles on them. Mechanically, this truck is as good as new. I wouldn’t hesitate to take my family to Alaska in it tomorrow. Not much else to say about this great truck. The new owner will be getting a very special vehicle with many worry free miles and years ahead. Any questions, please feel free to ask. It hasn’t been detailed. Just washed, and took pictures of it the way it has been maintained. $500 deposit due within 3 days of auction end via Paypal. Balance due within 15 days via certified funds.
