1955 Dodge Coronet Special Club Coupe (D55-1) This is a fully functional car. That is 99% complete plus extras. It has a clean CA title on Non-Op Body Very straight and from what I can tell there is no rust on the body panels. The floor had 5 spots that were cut out and a new floor installed on top. (See pictures of top and bottom of panel). It is the “Special” which has the fancy side moldings (the ones you see on the car). I have all the remaining moldings except for the two long pieces on the hood. I have duplicates of many things. Side view mirrors. lenses. horn ring. big hood ornament and extra trunk emblem. original generator (converted to 12 volt). coils. even extra chrome pieces that close over the doors on top of window. The hood is not installed. One hinge needs work and I have one spring. The hood does have two spots that need minor repair. Drive train The car has fresh oil. filter and coolant. The original gauges (oil and Amp) are not connected but an aftermarket triple gauge set has been installed under dash. She maintains excellent oil pressure and temperature. The alternator was tested and runs a consistent 13. 5+ volts above idle. The brakes have excellent pedal. but there is a leaky brake cylinder on the right front. The emergency brake works properly. It has the dash mounted Trans (very cool). It is a lever that slides up and down. I don’t know if the gas gauge works. the speedometer and odometer work properly. In the engine pictures you will see a red gas can on the passenger side. I was runing gas from there until I drained old gas and blew out the fuel line. It now pulls gas from the tank via an electric fuel pump. The 270 V8. transmission and rear end all look original. It has dual exhaust with Straight Pipes!! It sounds Awesome. Literature I have a 1955 shop manual and owners manual Test Drive Smooth. Two pumps and she starts right up. After a little warm up she cruises smoothly through all the gears and stops nicely. Shocks are tired. but no shaking and haven’t noticed any pulling. Interior The dash. seats and door panels are in good shape. One spot wearing on the driver’s seat half was up the back about 3 inches long (very minor). The headliner is a colorful blanket (I like it). The carpet is not a great fit. but nice and no tears. There is one arm rest in the trunk. All the dash lights come on and just sparkle. The previous owner was going for a “Rock a Billy” look. White top. black bottom and red wheels with wide whitewall tires. I think it looks great! There are two hubcaps that are still in their shipping wrap that come with the car. The only weird thing is I don’t have locks or keys for the car. As you can see there are no door handles. They have been shaved (No poppers installed). but a very clean job. There is no trunk lock and the ignition cylinder has fallen out. I thought I had it. but I can’t find it. The dash lights and exterior lights work. Brakes lights just need the switch on the master cylinder. The circuit works. Blinkers are not installed so I can’t confirm that. Wipers work and interior fan works. Door and trunk open and shut as they should. Why am I selling – It is my hobby to play with the classics. I bring them back to life. put a few dollars in my pocket and then drive a different classic every 6 months if all goes according to plan. I have a 100% rating with over 14 years as an eBay member and I plan to keep it that way by disclosing everything and encouraging questions. Keep them coming. On Mar-08-15 at 14:49:42 PDT. seller added the following information:I forgot to mention that I have skirts. new springs (I guess to raise the vehicle) and the base of the original Air Filter. I also installed one Hubcap you you could see the condition. Also I received a question about holes by the side wall (just in front of the rear wheels). Those are for moldings and I show a before and after picture of that as well. I do have both sides. Keep the questions coming. Thank you. On Mar-08-15 at 14:53:37 PDT. seller added the following information:I only had 2 spots left for pictures (24 max). If you want the pics of the molding on the car (before and after) just send me a message and I should be able to attach them that way. Keep the questions coming. Thank you.
