1971 Dodge D200 Camper Special pickup ¾ ton pick-up. originated in California and spent much of its life there. It sports the original paint and the faded look that is now over 40 years in the making. The body is extremely solid and straight. but it is the original paint and body from 1971. The odometer shows 80. 00 miles and I believe this can be accurate. The trim is nice and all intact. The interior has the rubber floor mat and two bucket seats. Not sure if the seats are original to the truck. but they look like they belong. Small rip in passenger seat. but still presentable. Everything works. gauges. lights. heat and aftermarket CD player with two door speakers and a speaker in the custom built center console. The truck came with a 388 but now has a rebuilt 400 big block with mildly ported 346 heads. Crane 276 hydraulic flat tappet cam. Holley Street Dominator intake. Edelbrock 750 carb with electric choke. MP electronic ignition with orange box. msd blaster coil. headers and 3” exhaust out back. The engine runs great. has plenty of power and can idle all day and stays cool…and sounds awesome! The trans is a 727 auto that shifts great and has 2400 converter. Out back it has a Dana rear end with 3. 54 gears. The suspension is stock with newer kingpins and rides nice. Well. as nice as an old truck can ride. It has manual steering and power drum brakes. The bed has a nice thick rubber bed cover so you can (literally) throw whatever you want back there and won’t worry about it damaging the floor. The bed has lots of scratches and dings from years of use. but its very solid. This is a great running. eye catching cool old truck that needs nothing to cruise. drive daily. or pull your old muscle car. The original rear bumper is not mounted. but goes with the truck - it weighs a ton and would need to be blasted and repainted. I think the truck looks better without it. but that’s just me. My reserve is reasonable and I am also listing this truck locally. so I reserve the right to end this auction early. Feel free to call me if you have any questions at 773-426-6006. Thank you!
