2003 Dodge Dakota Quad CabSee pictures & video below. 3. 9L V6. Automatic transmission. 4x4. Almost 119. 00 miles on truck. motor has about 140. 00 +. 3. 92 gearing with 8. 25 rear axle. I bought the truck last year from a county road commission auction. The oil pan was off the original engine & they noted the engine was bad. so I replaced it with another used V6 from a '98 Dakota. Current engine starts right up & seems to run fine. I drove the truck around a bit. it drives OK but could be better. Interior is in fair shape. Seats are good with no rips or tears. The truck also has cruise control. power windows. locks & heated power mirrors. 4WD seems to engage & work like it should. Sometimes it takes it's time going into 4LO. Tires have around 5000 miles on them & have plenty of tread left. New parts include the used engine mentioned. reman front calipers. battery. 3 new brake lines. new intake gasket. new exhaust bolts (to Y-pipe & cylinder heads). used starter. recent oil change & new filter. Apparently when the county owned it. the truck was rear ended hard enough to dent the tailgate & bumper. I put a used bumper & tailgate on & they look OK but the paint job isn't the greatest. Now for the bad. I'm guessing the truck sat for about 5 years as there's an oil change sticker still on the windshield saying the next service is due in July 2008. The box sides are rusted out & there is rust in the fenders & some on the front doors. Grille is cracked. It does need a valve cover gasket on the driver's side. The belt tensioner is rattling (you can hear it in the video). A/C needs to be re-charged. Rearview mirror needs to be glued back onto the windshield. I would replace all 4 shocks. Wiper blades need to be replaced. Needs wheel center caps. Steering feels a bit stiff to me. yet steering fluid is full. Engine oil drain plug may need attention. I haven't noticed any leaks but it didn't feel like it tightened as much as it could've. All this said. I like the truck & would drive it around as is. It seems to handle OK @ 60mph.
