1971 Dodge Dart Swinger Restomod 4 Speed

Up for your consideration is this really nice 1971 Dodge Dart Restomod. I purchased this car from an estate from a deceased collector that bought new parts for this car and collected them for 15 years. When I got the car. it was all taken apart and the interior was full of new parts. Edelbrock heads. new bumpers. new seats. carpet. headliner. digital dash and more. Pretty much everything the car needed. Lets start off up front with the new. rechromed front and rear bumpers. custom one-off Dart Grille and custom LED park lights on hidden chrome mounting bases. Under the hood we got a new aluminum radiator with dual fan blowers. The motor started off as a 1968 318 with a steel crank Mopar performance purple cam shaft. It has an aluminum intake with a Holly 600 carburetor. topped off with Edelbrock heads which were brand new in the box. It's topped off with roller rockers covered with Mopar performance valve covers. Behind the motor is the 833 4 speed transmission with a new clutch and pressure plate. The motor and transmission are not original to this car. Also under the hood is a brand new yellow top Optima battery. Optima's best battery. I do not know how many original miles are on the body. but I do know that the drivetrain. brakes. and all the mechanical work done has less then 100 miles on it. It's barely broken in. and it runs awesome. The car runs on 89 Octane. has disc brakes in the front with recent front end alignment done. It handles really well. Out back is the 8 3/4 rear with 3. 91 gears in it. It's even equipped with a rear sway bar for handling. It's got old school Crager wheels wrapped in new tires. It's got brand new headers and brand new 3 inch exhaust system that goes right to the rear chrome tips. The car is extremely rust free. and the body is nice and straight with no rustholes anywhere. We had the car completely apart. so I know it's totally solid. When I purchased the car. the door handles were already shaved off. It comes with two remote controls that open up either door with a press of a button. The doors open well. All the windows go up and down as they should. and all the lights work properly. The dash is all digital. and all the gauges seem to work correctly. The speedometer seems to read a little fast. but I believe it can be adjusted. It has power bucket seats with lumbar support that are extremely comfortable. and the car drives nice and straight. It has new carpet. interior trim panels. headliner. radio. and rear speakers. The speakers are covered with a nice. new panel. The car was painted with a charcoal mist metallic. and cleared over with a PPG clear. It was restriped and given new weatherstripping. 340 GTS hood scoops were installed. So if you're tired of driving a rust bucket from the east coast. check out this California Dart. And no. it does not have a HEMI in it. The car can be picked up and driven anywhere. or we can drive it to a local shipping port if needed. The car is located in San Diego. California.
