Description

I bought this car in 2014 with 5,283 miles on it. I drove it from Nashville back to Austin.
Before I tell you how great this car is I need to tell you why it is so cheap. This car has a flood title. It is a Texas title that reads 'Reconditioned Title Flood Damage'. It was in a flood years ago. The damage was to the computer and the wiring harness. The repairs were made at Ferrari Atlanta. I have all the receipts. The day after I returned to Austin I had the car inspected at Ferrari Austin. The report is attached.
So what does a flood title mean to you? First of all, ou can't get a loan at the bank. You will have to have all the money up front in order to buy this car. And that is the primary reason this car is so cheap. You can't buy an extended warranty from Ferrari. Those are the two big ones. Now let's get on to the good stuff.
If it isn't evident from the photos, his is the best looking Ferrari ever built. At the time this car was ordered, 430s were selling for so much over sticker that this guy didn't give options a second thought. He ordered it all.

I'm told that the carbon fibre steering wheel alone was $7,000. Used, he steering wheel on eBay today is over $3,000. And this car is loaded with carbon fibre and leather. I have never seen another like it.
The F430 is ready to drive. I put front tires on it when I got to Austin due to their age. I think the rear tires had already been replaced. There are pictures of both. I replaced the battery when I first got the car. I bought it at Autozone. It is not an original Ferrari battery. Everything is as it should be. The AC blows very cold. I have never had to add freon or service it. The top goes up and down perfectly, he stereo is all factory and sounds great. The seats show very little wear at all. This isn't just a 7,000 mile car, t is a well kept 7,000 mile car. It was inspected and registered recently. Everything is up to date if you want to drive it away.
I had the wheels powder coated matte black. I added the skid plate under the front bumper. This is a must for every F430. The plate and installation together wereless than $1,000 and it was money well spent. If you buy a 430 that doesn't have one put it on. Park Place in Dallas makes the best one, n my opinion.
I have had several Ferraris and this has been the most enjoyable. It is the best looking Ferrari I have ever had and also the most affordable. I think I enjoyed it more because I worried about it less. I valet park it, ake it to the mall and even let my friends drive it (with me in the car :). I've paid all the money (well over sticker) for a Ferrari before. It just isn't as much fun.
So why am I selling it? I have lots of cars, ot much garage space and,to be honest, have owned this one longer than most.
Full disclosure...... Here is where I tell you every little thing that I think you need to know. Even at the risk of you closing the browser. I'd rather you do that than tell me I tried to get over on you. We covered the title. The car was in a flood. When I had the front bumper skid plate put on, hey found sand. I am certain it was in salt water. That has caused me no problems but I see corrosion on the screws in the passenger floorboard at the access panel where I changed the battery. In the report from Ferrari of Austin attached, ou will see that they found corrosion on the AC compressor as well. It has never caused me a problem and the water damage was years ago. There is a scratch about one inch long on the right quarter panel. It is the photo with the key in it. It doesn't show up well in the picture but it is there. It is easier to see in real life. The front right radiator fan began making noise six months ago. I bought a used fan motor and will give it to you. I was about a third of the way into installation when I got the idea to spray silicone lubricant into the motor. I did that, he noise stopped so I put things back together and never messed with it again. It doesn't make noise anymore. The rear diffuser(the big gray part that is below the rear bumper) has been repainted. There is mention of the accident in a car fax report. They did a pretty good job with the paint. The diffuser did not need to be replaced. There was no other damage. The mesh in the front bumper has a hole in it the size of a half dollar. I am pretty sure they did that attaching the tow hook. I noticed it when I bought the car and forgot about it until todaywhen I took the pictures. The Austin Ferrari dealer said the exhaust brackets had been welded. They told me that they break often but they are relatively inexpensive so they don't usually see them repaired. I hear a vibration back there from time to time (low rpm) that I think is the brackets. The Austin Ferrari dealership was unable to replicate the noise so nothing has ever been done about it. The title reads 'Not Actual Mileage.' It is actual and I have lots of documentation including receipts from Ferrari of Atlanta and a Mileage Statement from the previous owner. I am not sure if this is there because of the age of the car or because it was sold by the insurance company.
This is a beautiful car. It is hard to believe it is nearly ten years old. But it is a ten-year-old car. As nice of an example as it is, t is not a new car. It has been driven, t has been in the rain, t has been in a flood. There are small signs of wear everywhere. This is not a new care but it is an amazing car. I hope the next owner gets as much enjoyment out of it as I did.
I have this car priced to sell. I will only accept a wire transfer. I have clear title with no liens. I go through a couple cars a year. You won't offend me with your offer. I intend to sell this car quickly. I can help with transportation arrangements (like being there when they pick it up) but I'm not a car dealer and don't have any connections. I have sold to buyers out of the country before. I can get this car to the airport if you want it shipped somewhere by air.
