The letters G T O hold a very special place in Ferrari's history and the 599GTO carries that special history forward. This particular 599 GTO serial number 175276 built in July of 2010 was one the first 599GTOs to be brought into the United States and one of the first US specifications 599 GTOs to be built. There were only 125 US specification 599GTOs built and this is one of only 12 black 599GTOs to be brought into the US.
G.T.O stands for Gran Turismo Omologato. Gran Turismo is a phrase used to represent automobiles regarded as cars able to make long-distance, igh-speed journeys in both comfort and style. Omologato means that this 599 (the GTO) is a homologated road going version of a track car/race car. The 599 GTO is the third time Ferrari have used the qualifier GTO in its history, he other two cars being the 288 GTO and the 250 GTO.
This car (175276) has been upgraded with the factory Ferrari 599 GTO/XX Aero Kit. This is ONLY 599 GTO in the country with the factory Ferrari XX Aero Kit. 5 kits were produced in total. This kit is serial number 3. The kit includes a larger front splitter on front bumper, arbon fiber trunk lid with a larger rear lip/spoiler, nd 599XX winglets on the Side Panels/Buttresses.
The XX Aero Kit can be removed very easily, utting the car back to factory specification. By reinstalling original pieces which are wrapped in cloth and are in perfect condition.
