Description |
---|
Original USA model in traditional original Red/Tan with only 9300 total miles. Desirable knock-off wheels in the evenmoredesirable 16” size—NOTthe 415mm wheels for TRX tires usually on early TRs. New set of 2016 date-coded tires just installed. Our shop has completed a very comprehensive engine-out major service that included far more than just cam belts. Due to its prolonged storage we had the fuel tanks scoured to remove old contaminants, plus the fuel pumps and all filters, injectors and other parts of the fuel system were restored. Along with the timing belts, the tensioner bearings and all secondary belts were replaced, the valves adjusted and a thorough set-up done to assure proper performance.
While the engine was out, we professionally detailed the entire engine compartment & subframe and painted the cam covers. (Our shop frequently prepares cars for Pebble Beach) Then the paint specialist spent nearly a week carefully hand claying theoriginalpaint, buffing as necessary and finishing up with a prefect, as-new glow to the whole car. The interior was given similar attention, by carefully cleaning and treating theoriginalleather with proper ph-balanced solutions. Testarossa dashes are leather-covered and often suffer shrinkage from sun exposure, but there is hardly any of that on this car, which spent its years hiding in a garage!
To cap things off, along with both original books, the car is complete with a full set of unused Schedoni fitted leather luggage, that was a $5000 option when the car was new. Even has the factory plug-in trouble light still in the glove box that is always missing and difficult to replace. We encourage an inspection by any knowledgeable Testarossa expert to assure that this car is one of the finest ones left, and certainly has one of the lowest mileages. Absolutely no past accident damage, the front spoiler has never needed repair, the A/C is cold and the car is a pleasure to drive. Importantly, it never had any of the typical ‘80s-era aftermarket stereo installations, telephones, alarms, or radar detectors chopped into the electrical system and interior. A more original, correct, or better-condition Testarossa will be very difficult to find! Please visit the Farland Cars website to get a feel for what type of shop we are.
