Fully restored Fiat Spider (stripped down to unibody and repainted) with a custom turbo charged engine. Turbo system consists of a Serra exhaust manifold, adjustable waste gate, intercooler, and custom intake plenum. The MegaSquirt EFI system controls fuel and spark making for an easy to tune engine. The vehicle runs well and is great fun to drive. No further tuning is needed unless you decide to increase the turbo boost (currently it is around 8 lbs). All electrical wiring in the engine compartment has been replaced. Front brakes have been upgraded to “Whoa!” Wilwood brakes (http://www.midwest124.com/Whoa_Brakes.htm) at a cost of around $1k. The suspension has been lowered with Koni shocks and shorter springs. The front cross-member has been modified to raise the attachment points of the lower control arms which restores front suspension geometry to stock angles and makes for a very good handling car. Wheels are original 14” and have been painted. The rear seat has been removed and replaced with a carpeted shelf with two 8” woofers. Front seats replaced with custom upholstered Dodge Viper seats. The bottom end seized and the engine is currently NOT RUNNING. I think you’ll only need to replace the main bearings to get the vehicle running again (engine ran low on oil). The heads have been ported and polished and have large valves with stiffer valve springs. There shouldn’t be anything wrong with the heads. Transmission has been rebuilt with new synchro’s and it shifts very smoothly. Clutch is good with no slippage (even when under full boost). A roll bar was added for safety and it greatly improves body rigidity. Other than the seized engine, everything else on the car works very well. Over the years, pretty much everything that can break has been replaced or repaired. The body is in very good condition with no dents/dings. There is some bubbling around the rear wheel well (driver’s side) and also in the bottom rear corners of the fenders. The car has been sitting in my garage for several years waiting for me to have time to work on it. Too many projects on my plate so I’m passing this gem of a car on to the next lucky owner. I’ve owned this car since 1988. The mileage listed is an estimate only, but should be pretty close. Vehicle being sold as-is in non-running condition. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. This is a no reserve auction. Vehicle goes to highest bidder.
