1964 FIAT 500D This Italian micro-car was originally built for European markets. While its US entry is unknown, this FIAT recently underwent a full, comprehensive restoration. The rebuilt 499cc engine is mated to a rebuilt 4 speed, floor mounted manual transmission. EXTERIOR: Body work and paint are Top-notch as is the new or polished original trim and is accented by new chrome bumpers on each end. The previous owner added the fun “Nuova” emblem, the Nuova was the previous model manufactured from 1957-1960, and was replaced by the 500D shown here. The suicide doors and trunk close with solid, well-built sound due to the new weather-stripping. Undercarriage is clean, protected and looks factory fresh, as well as the suspension and drivetrain. Aluminum wheels with FIAT logo caps are fitted on each corner wrapped in new radial black-walled tires. INTERIOR: Capable of seating 4 people, the red on white interior looks new seats, dash and door cards all redone. The absence of a heater, radio and all gauges except a speedometer (in km/h) kept the price affordable in 1964’s Europe, however, a cigarette lighter and ashtray were included.
