1971 Fiat 500
From Ragusa, Italy. Currently located in Richmond, VA. No rust. 499cc engine and 4-speed manual transmission. "Blu Turchese" ("turquoise blue") over tan, with black folding roof panel. A carefully kept and beautiful Lusso in an inspired color combination that is ready to drive and enjoy without issue. Rust free and spritely to drive, this is not a car for a shrinking violet. Be prepared to be talked to at every traffic light and fuel stop, photographed, waved to, and smiled at. Engine, transmission, clutch, tires. brakes, electricals... all working as intended. Just get in and have fun this summer, knowing that parking will never be a problem again. 13,299 miles showing; one rollover possible. Clear VA title..
The starting process is like firing the burners on a Jet: Key in the dash - turn - get the electrical system going. Find your knob between the seats - wait for permission from tower - pull up and the motor cranks. It fires to life and you're on the road, with a smile ripping across your face. The interior was updated along with everything else last year, with fresh upholstery in the front and rear, as well as matching door cards and rear trim, all making for a simple, clean, and well presented package. The fabric roof folds back and lets the sun in with ease, yet remains watertight.
Drivetrain: Starts with ease. No untoward noises from motor or transmission. Shifts cleanly. No surprises, just a simple little 499cc motor pulling you down the road
Exterior: Paint shows beautifully. New stainless steel bumpers installed (not pictured) and complete the package. Lights and electrical system all work.
Interior: Simple but effective. Car has the original steering lock to the left of the steering column, as well as an electrical system start in the center of the dash. Choke and ignition are between the seats. Upholstery replaced with a fresh kit in 2016 and is clean and untorn.
Chassis: Straight and rust free. Bulkhead, floors, etc. all solid. Please see photos below.
VIN Note: The VIN# is 5022017. It precedes 17-digit VIN numbers and eBay will not recognize it.
