1998 ~ FORD CONTOUR SE ~ Red 4-Door Sedan ~ runs needs repair - parts - project

1998 FORD CONTOUR SEThis little car has been good transportation for the almost 3 years we've owned it. during that time we've put 8. 36 miles on it. Last Friday (the 13th. ) my girlfriend was driving the car when she noticed an odd noise under the hood. I'm not a mechanic but I think the timing belt tension-er may be at fault which is allowing the belt to slap the top of the plastic shroud that covers it. I don't have the time or patience to fix it so have decided to let it go. It would probably be a good project car for someone that is good with tools and has the skill to replace the timing belt. Gets around 25 MPG. doesn't use any oil. 4 matching tires half tread or better. battery holds a charge. all glass is good. spare and jack in trunk. seats are in good condition. no rips or tears. the tension-er for the serpentine belt was replaced shortly after purchasing as was the alternator. heater works.
