Description

Very nice. older restoration of a rust and accident free 1947 Ford Tudor. The car starts easy and runs good. steers good. has good oil pressure. does not smoke nor does it have any unusual noises. The speedometer shows 81. 00 miles. which appears be the original mileage. but I have no way of knowing for sure. Vehicle is mostly stock. with a 59AB. nbsp; flathead V-8 engine and 3-speed manual transmission on the column. The car runs and drives great. even at freeway speeds. Modifications include a 12-volt electrical system with alternator. a dropped front axle. exhaust headers with dual exhaust and an auxillary electric fuel pump (the original fuel pump is in place and operational too). Most of the wiring is new. with a fuse block. Tires are 6. 50-x16" on the rear and 6. 70x15" on the front. to give the car a slight drop. The hubcaps are new. The paint is older with nicks and scratches that have been touched up. but it still has a decent shine. I would call the paint a good 10-footer. but certainly would not be an embarrassment to take to your favorite car show. The chrome and trim is very decent driver quality with minor blemishes. The upholstery is newer and very nice. but the headliner has some staining. Replacement headliners are inexpensive. Seat belts installed front and rear. All of the glass is good. and the wind wing rubber seals have been recently replaced. The car has the original radio and antenna and clock. but they are not operational. The dash is very nice. with the original grey metallic paint along with the original heater. The gas gauge does not work. This is just a great old car to own. drive and enjoy. Personally. I would not do anything to it. but it is a good candidate to take to a higher level if desired. I have a very nice louvered hood that will fit this 1946-48 Fords. that I will sell to the winning buyer for $500. The hood is nearly perfect. and has been professionally stripped. so the buyer can see the raw metal.
