This auction features a great project for the Hot Rod fan. My buddy and I bought this 70's era Ford T-Bucket project from a man who let it languish for over 30 years in the Spring of 2014. We went after the project with big dreams to have it running by the Summer of 2014 and cruising the streets. We disassembled the car completely looking to build a Post War inspired rat rod style hot rod. We had good intentions but the project became a little overwhelming with us both becoming very busy shortly after the purchase: my friend's business has quadrupled and I got a promotion at work that has me equally in a more time consuming situation. Both of us have other car projects as well. I am weekend drag racer and my buddy and his boy are veteran pavement track oval racers. We thought it would be fun to combine our experiences of building cars over the years into this fun project car to cruise around town in on nice days! However. we both decided rather then have this project with huge potential collect dust in the corner of the race shop while we were buried else where. it was better to let someone else finish the dream. One funny/interesting tid bit about the history of the car. the previous owners and including ourselves all have had good fortune after buying this car. so while no one has finished or driven it yet. it appears to be a good luck charm! No guarantees on the good luck but just saying! So here is what we known about the car and what we have done thus far so that someone else might finish the dream!Body: Fiberglass T-Bucket/Truck body. 1970's vintage. molded doors. previous owner claims it was a Performance Specialties body. Channeled body. raw mold. no body work has been completed. body is not mounted. Frame: Custom frame. 70's vintage. unknown origin. Rear has been modified and "Z"ed to lower the car (see photos) frame and transmission mounts for small block Chevrolet with 350THM automatic transmission. Bracket for brake master cylinder also welded in. Roll bar also welded in along with body mounts. Suspension: Front suspension is a EZ T-Bucket tubular drop axle. with 4" drop Chevrolet style spindles (pt# 5026-C4 http://shop. eztbucket. com ). with Speedway 9. 5" Metric Disc Brakes. Chevrolet style (pt # 91031956). Comes with Speedway New Vega Steering box kit. not installed. Rear suspension is a S-10 rear differential with coil over shocks. car will come with the set of shock bodies installed in photos but they are too long but you will need to purchase 6-7" adjustable shock body with a 8" spring. Differential was mounted using Speedway brackets and panhard bar kit. Differential came out of a local scrap yard. unsure of rear ratio. Brakes: Front brakes are Speedway brake kit referenced above. new. mocked up but not fully installed. Rear Brakes are factory S-10. untouched/used and will need service. Comes with brake master cylinder and pedal that we got with the car. no brake lines have been installed or run. Wheels/Tires: Vintage style 15" steel wheels. new from Speedway Speed Shop. tires are round. rubber and hold air. great for rolling around the shop!Engine: Stock 1972 Chevrolet Camaro 350 small block V8 pulled from another running project. low mileage (less then 30K). degreased. cleaned and detailed. Brand new vintage style finned aluminum valve covers. new Summit Racing Aluminum dual plane intake with new Summit Racing 750 CFM electric choke carburetor. Factory HEI that came from the 1972 Chevrolet. with a new MSD cap and rotor. Taylor racing wires and new Accel adjustable vacuum advance. Transmission: GM 350 Turbo-Hydramatic Automatic transmission with factory stall convertor. Low mileage (less then 10K) working transmission pulled from a working driving car that had been wrecked. This is a great core project that all the hard work has been completed. We are not ones to let things rot in the back forty or collect dust for years until we get the "roundtuit" to finish a project. We recognized we got the project to the next level. but it was time pass the torch and let some one else complete the project. Car sold as is without any warranty. comes with a bill of sale. you will need to review title procedures for your state on kit cars. I have used both and advise you call both for a quote and problem free fast shipping rather then using the eBay service. - Advanced Motors LLC @ 231-346-3400 ask for Dimitry - Double Time Transportation @231-929-8981
