Overview Thank you for looking at my auction. I am regrettably selling my 1996 Ford Bronco XLT. which I have owned since Oct 2011. The truck is available for inspection in the evenings or weekends by appointment only. This particular Bronco is one of the last ones made. having rolled off the production line in April 1996. close to the 30th Anniversary of the first Bronco produced. I have babied this Bronco during my ownership. and have invested significant time and money into ensuring that this Bronco is one of the cleanest examples left in existence. There may be a cleaner Bronco out there but I haven’t seen it. I have kept the Bronco garaged year round. This Bronco was originally purchased from Courtesy Ford in Denver and resided in the northern suburbs until the original owner traded it in in 2011 (I gathered all of this from the title work and Carfax). Denver does not use salt on the roads in the winter. which partially explains the rust free condition of the body. I found the Bronco in Oct ’11 with 90. 00 miles on it. and bought it back to Texas. The Bronco has just turned 102. 00 original miles. The 5. 8L (351w) roller cam engine is powerful and runs perfectly. The transmission shifts smoothly and the four-wheel drive works with no issues. The A/C blows ice cold. and all electrical lights and gauges work including the back window. The truck drives straight down the road with no vibrations or noises that should not be there. While the Bronco is not brand new. it is an exceptionally clean. low mile example of a 19-year old truck. The Bronco has the XLT package and includes: Factory tow package. nbsp;power windows and door locks. nbsp;inflatable lumbar seat adjustment. ower mirrorsAutocheck: When I took the Bronco in for the Texas State Inspection in Oct '14. the guys working the smog machine entered the mileage from the car in front – 180. 00. There is now an entry on the Autocheck showing a mileage recording of 180. 00. It is incorrect – obviously the truck couldn’t have been driven over 80. 00 in three months. since visiting the Ford dealer in Jul ’14 (Ford dealer logged the actual miles). Unfortunately I have been told that once the number is in the state system. it cannot be changed. I have listed out all of the receipts below that have mileage recorded by mechanics/shops. The true original mileage is what is shown on the odometer. which is less than 102. 00. I have all of the documentation for the repairs listed at the bottom of this description. Keep scrolling to the bottom for the list; there is a lot of detail! All documentation shown in the photobucket picture will come with the truck as well as two pairs of keys. s538. photobucket. com/user/nbackhouse/library/1996%20Ford%20BroncoMechanicalI have meticulously maintained the Bronco and have taken care of all issues when any have presented themselves. Motorcraft parts were used whenever possible. The following is a brief summary of work done; scroll down to the bottom for the detailed list: New front end (upper/low grease access ball joints) and alignment. Do not buy a '80-'96 Ford if the ball joints haven't been replaced with grease access ball joints. All new front brake components. and ABS sensorsMany gaskets changed. vacuum leaks addressedPerformance exhaust system – custom made by Ripley’s Muffler in Spring. TX – not a kit6 new Bilstein shocksReplaced fuel pump. starter. water pump. fan clutch5 new BF Goodrich tires and American Racing wheelsNew air conditioningFresh tune up with new MSD ignition coil. cap. nbsp;rotor. plugs and wiresRecent transmission. torque converter. transfer case serviceSuper transmission cooling pan and temperature gauge installed (for long transmission life) The transmission takes 18 quarts now!5 new BF Goodrich tires and American Racing wheelsOil has been changed every six months I have worked to keep the Bronco in top mechanical shape and it shows. Mechanically everything works as it should. All electronics. lights and gauges work with the exception of the rear defroster. The rear window rolls up and door easily with the outside key and the inside switch. I’m really picky and detail focused about cars and if I had to pick out anything with this Bronco. it has two tiny leaks. one from the oil pan gasket. and one from the seal on the passenger side of the front differential. The Bronco has been thoroughly gone through by my mechanic on a regular basis and it is fixed up and ready to be loved by its next owner. ExteriorThe exterior is in exceptional condition for its age. I have done my best to capture the Bronco in the pictures as it looks in real life. The body looks great. the paint still shines. and I get compliments on the truck all the time. I encourage you to come and view it for yourself. There are a couple of scratches that I have topped up with color-coded paint as can be seen in the photobucket link. and a few light scratches on the tailgate. There is a slight ding in the passenger door. but it is very small and hard to notice. It may not even show up in the pictures. If you would like to see pictures of any particular area. let me know and I will try to add them to Photobucket. As you can see in the pictures. the undercarriage has been treated with rust inhibitor to keep the corrosion away. I installed a 2” receiver and a trailer brake to occasionally tow a smaller camper. All of the trailer wiring works and the hitch is great to use for a bike rack. InteriorThe interior is in really excellent condition. I had Louetta Upholstery in Spring. TX reupholster the front seats with new Ford fabric. and replace the seat foam. They removed all of the carpeting. installed a heat shield and sound insulation pad across the length of the floor. and deep cleaned the carpet before reinstalling it. The headliner is perfect and there are no cracks in the dash. The stereo and speakers were upgraded (I have the original components) and Dynamat sound insulation was installed in the doors. The Pioneer CD player has Bluetooth phone and audio. The Bronco comes with Husky floor mats and a WeatherTech cargo liner (not pictured). I also have the original floor mats. This is a really well-kept and clean interior. Auction DetailsPlease only bid if you want to win and pay for the Bronco. Also. please keep in mind that while the Bronco has received excellent maintenance. it is used. almost 20 years old (it is not a perfect new car). and is sold with no warranty or guarantee. implicit. explicit. implied or otherwise. The Bronco is available for inspection in the evenings or weekends by appointment only. If you’re buying from out of state I will be flexible in meeting an auto transporter. Ebay offers a system to receive quotes from auto shippers. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction ending and full payment is due within 3 days of the auction ending. You may make the deposit with PayPal. If you back out. I keep the deposit – sorry if this sounds harsh but I want to attract serious buyers only. I will continue to drive the Bronco until the deposit is received. at which point I will garage the Bronco until the full balance is received. The balance of the proceeds can be paid by wire transfer or PayPal. or other payment through Ebay. Wire transfer is fast and easy. The funds must be in my account before I release the car. Even cashier’s checks take time to clear. If you use a shipping service. you are responsible for insurance while Bronco car is in transport and all shipping costs. If you have the Bronco shipped. I will FedEx the title and all paper work to you. Good luck! Please check out my feedback and feel free to ask me any questions! I know this truck inside out and should be able to answer almost anything.
