1956 FORD FAIRLANE SUNLINERHere is an absolutely beautiful ’56 Sunliner. This is one of the most beautiful examples to ever come out of Detroit in the 50’s. High under-shadowed by its Chevy counterpart; the ’56 Ford is actually a more rare specimen. and quietly screams class! This Fairlane is a rust-free car that lived almost all of its life in Georgia. It only recently (in 2014) made its way north to Wisconsin. While it was in Georgia; it went through an exhaustive frame-off restoration in 2008-2009. All the mechanicals were re-built including the original Ford V-8 engine. and the original Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. The body was professionally repainted in Raven Black. As far as I can tell; all the sheet metal on the car is original. and in excellent shape. There are no scratches or dents on the car at all. The lines are very straight and true. The interior and convertible top were also re-done at that time into the correct colors. The interior looks and feels like new with absolutely no issues. The power top works properly. and the hydraulic pump has been replaced. All the interior gauges work. and the aftermarket radio is done tastefully without cutting the dashboard. The underside of this car is as clean as the top! The chrome and stainless is in excellent condition with no pitting. Riding on brand-new Coker Classic wide white radials. This stunning car won first place at the Chattanooga World of Wheels Show in 2009. This is an absolutely beautiful example of how a restoration should be done on an investment-quality automobile! This car is priced below book value. A car just like this sold at the Dallas Mecum Auction in September 2014 for $47. 00! The Hagerty Price Valuation Guide puts the value of this car at $47. 82.
