NO RESERVE. This 1985 Bronco II was purchased new by the National Park Service. Its 2d and last owner used it to get into a remote hunting cabin. I drove the vehicle over 300 miles from its home in Kentucky to North Carolina with engine and drive train functioning well at interstate speeds. A local Ford dealer's "50 point used car inspection" stated that the vehicle needs its braking system replaced because of age and rusty appearance. The only part of that system not mentioned for replacement was the master cylinder. In addition. nbsp;the vehicle should have its shocks. radius arm and steering linkage replaced. The mechanic listed a need for a wiper motor replacement. but before his inspection and after it. the wipers functioned as expected. There is the usual rear fender well rust. and the floorboard & front seats are notably rusted. The headliner is partially missing and the underside of the roof has surface rust as well. Radio is original. but only buzzes. The glove compartment latch needs adjusting or replaced. Other cosmetic features are consistent with the rest of the vehicle and suffer from 30 years of age. The second owner who purchased the vehicle a few years ago at a federal auction. told me that the mileage on the odometer is original mileage. Most of its life was spent bouncing around in the national park. Tires are matching set with excellent off-road tread. The vehicle was to have been a shop project for our local high school. but that did not pan out. The vehicle is currently titled in North Carolina. Best use in my opinion. is a dedicated off-road hunting vehicle or a high school fixer upper for a boy in need of training wheels. I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time before the final day of the auction.
