Hello fellow ebay motors fans . I'm selling my seriously bad ass 1979 Ford Ranchero GT this week at NO reserve. That's right. guys . when this auction ends on Sunday night at 9:00 Eastern time. the last bidder standing owns this awesome truck. Best of all. it has the extremely rare "351 modified". which is actually the 400 c. i. beast of an engine so highly desired by collectors. Scroll through the 70+ huge. hi-res pics below. and if you're really interested. just send me a note through the ebay messaging and I'll shoot back a link to the my Google+ album with all 113 pics I took this afternoon. I don't know much about this truck's history. but I'll tell you what I do know in my full description after the pics. For now. here are the highlights:Relatively new flat black paint jobSemi-custom interior with extremely comfortable all-leather bucket seats in "as new" condition. (They're even electric!)Newer carpetNewer "old school" Cragar chrome wheels in perfect condition (missing center cap is already on order and goes with truck)Matching set of Daytona tires (white letters turned in)NEW carburetor. starter. alternator. distributor. plugs. plug wires. distributor cap/rotor. and battery. runs great! Like I said earlier. I really don’t know much about the ownership history on this truck. The guy I bought it from had zero information. other than he’d bought it as it sits back in 2013. I do know. however. that it’s completely bad ass in almost every way. Oh. and it draws a major amount of attention when cruising downtown Palm Springs. I suspect the same will happen in your town. It’s sinister. not subtle … loud. not lame. I ran the VIN through the Ford registry website and it confirms that it's not only a legit GT. but that it has the super rare and highly prized 351-modified engine. Whoever “took it to the next level. though. made some decisions that … let’s just say. I wouldn’t have made. Example: he changed the color. both inside and out. Nope. not kidding . I believe this truck was originally red over red. If you study the interior shots. every once in a while you'll see a little red spot peaking through on a plastic trim piece. the top of the dash. etc. There aren't many and they're small. but they're there and I'm a "full disclosure" kind of guy. I may not notice every tiny imperfection. but I always report what I see/know and let my extremely detailed pics do the rest. So clearly it’s no show car. but it is in damn nice shape and would make an exceptional daily driver. It runs great. now that my mechanic rebuilt the carburetor and replaced the starter. alternator. distributor. plugs. plug wires. distributor cap/rotor and battery. This is NOT the truck for you if you’re a stickler for originality. This IS the truck for you if you’re not OCD and are just looking for a fun toy in nice condition that'll catch some major attention. Bottom line: here's are the top 5 reasons why if you love the 77-79 Rancheros. you should strongly consider bidding:Even though it's too old to be verified by Carfax. the 100% rust free status of this truck strongly indicates a lifetime in Southern California. The truck is straight as an arrow. There are a few dings. but it's clearly never been wrecked. Again. can't prove it. but I strongly suspect the 63. 00 miles are real. It is. however. a 5-digit odometer. so no guarantees. 1979 is the last and most collectible year for the Ranchero. and this one is a GT with the super rare 351-modified . or 400 c. i. engine. (Yes. it's pretty darn fast. )DID I MENTION THIS TRUCK IS COMPLETELY BAD ASS???If you have any questions. I'll do my best to answer them. If you want to talk to me about the truck. send a note through ebay messaging and I'll shoot back my number. And finally. if you want to see the entire google+ album of all 113 pics showing every conceivable angle. send a note through ebay because apparently you can no longer include live links in your auctions. Thanks for your interest and good luck!
