1999 Ford Escort - Great car for commuter or first time driver

THIS IS PRICED TO SALE. I HAVE TO GET RID OF IT FASTThis is a great little commuter car that gets terrific gas mileage. It has relatively low mileage. driven by non-smokers. and has always been well maintained. i. e. regular oil changes. repairs when needed. etc. Within the last two years it has had new ball joints. tie rod ends and tires. Manual transmission. The car runs fine. you could drive it away today. The only problem that this car has (other than some cosmetic dings) is the taillights are out. I don't know if it's the bulbs. a fuse. or something else. I haven't really investigated it too far. I am a student and don't have time to fix it. So I am selling it. The vehicle report says that it has had 4 owners. which is technically true. but a little misleading. The four owners are within the same family: it started with my father-in-law. then to my sister-in-law and her husband. then to her brother. then to us. I only point this out to highlight the fact that we are aware of the way it's been treated since being driven off the lot. You really could not go wrong with this little car!!! Buyer is responsible for pickup.
