2000 Ford Escort ZX2 AC Manual Zetec 4Cylinder Gas Saver Smogged Reliable Sporty

2000 Ford Escort ZX2. The bad is cosmetics mostly. The paint on the top and hood are faded. The clear coat is peeling in some spots. mostly on the spoiler and rear bumper. Some of the rubber off of the body trim pieces are coming off. The headliner is dirty. Rear passenger side seat belt will not extract. but a replacement seat belt is included. The engine has a chirpy sound (like a belt rub kind of sound?) when first started. but that goes away as it runs. Here's some of the better points: During our ownership. we've replaced the radiator. alternator. serpentine belt. brakes. battery. spark plugs. cabin light. and of course. tires. Nothing major was ever needed. We've also pulled out the tan seats that were ripped and very uncomfortable. and replaced them with a plusher. cleaner gray set from another ZX2. Oil changes every 3-4000 miles. It has Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires with about 10. 00 miles on them. The battery is 1 year old. The best point of all is it gets you to where you're going. We have owned this car for 7 years and it has never stranded us anywhere. It was taken on a 200 mile trip just a month ago and has been driven locally since. A/C blows cold. 2. 0L Zetec 4 cylinder engine. 5 speed manual transmission with a very forgiving clutch. Never had any manual as easy to drive as this one. It would be a great 1st car or to learn to drive a stick in. Tags are paid until September. and it passed California smog inspection on 05/02/2015. This is cheap. reliable transportation. Also up for sale locally. so auction will end if sold. Come on down and drive it home. It is buyer's responsibility to pick up this car.
