Description

1929 Model A Tudor SedanI have owned this car for almost ten years. It has been stored inside for most of its life, nd is a very solid, et unrestored car. This car is 99% complete and would be easy to finish. I bought this with the intent to store it, nd have been working at hot rod shops, orking my way into aviation sheet metal fabrication. I had planned on working on this once I felt my skills were mastered. I am moving and unfortunately will not have space for this car. More pics and walkaround video in slideshow link at the bottom of this ad.
Engine: The engine is free and has compression Noticed the radiator has a leak, ill need to be updated. Full exhaust intactOil is fresh.I cannot verify but the previous owner claimed this engine has been gone through. When I ran it it seemed to run well.
Transmission: Solid, hifts well. No mechanical issues.
Chassis: Bone stock, olid.
Rear End: Standard Banjo Rear Oil for rear end is included, ought but never installed.
Wheels: 5 Powdercoated 1939 Ford Spoked Wheels New Centercaps
Tires: Brand New Coker Blackwall Tires 0 miles Brand New TubesBrakes: Two sets of brakes come with the car. 1966 Ford Hydraulic self adjusting brakes Rear drums have been rebuilt Front brakes came from a running and driving truck. Brand New Master Cylinder with power boosterKit for adapting "juice brakes" onto model a spindles Stock Model A mechanical brakes Brand New relined shoes from Bert's Model A in Denver New spring set New brake floaters New Brake Roller Tracks w/ rivets (Bert's model A $24,00) All the original mechanical parts are included
Suspension: Two axles come with the car. Original axle installed 4" Superbell Drop Axle NEW This axle has NEW kingpins and bushings (bushed at Bert's Model A) Pete and Jakes Upper and Lower shock mounts NEW Posies Spring NEW Shackles NEW
Carb was being rebuilt when I took these pics but is finished and installed.
Body: Paint is good from 20 feet but is not anything to be proud of. Fenders are steel, nd are solid. Planishing and some light body working would be required to make them perfect. Doors are solid, ottoms are good. Hinges are VERY solid and the latch mechanisms work perfectly. No slamming these doors. Roof has been redone and is in good shape. No nicks, o leaks that I have seen. Wood looks somewhat dry rotted in some spots. It's solid for a driver but for a show car it could be replaced. NEW panels and latches to lock down hood. Hood hinges work well and are in good shape. The rear metal panel above the rear spring is missing. To drop this car you would probably need to modify this anyway. Splash aprons look great.Floor wood is all solid and intact. Floor reinforcements are solid.Dash is uncut and in great shape. Ignition has keys and is in working order.
Glass: I have six pieces of glass for this car. Windshield installed and in good shape Rear glass is installed NEW front drivers and passengers glass New quarter glass driver and passenger New rear glass This glass was custom cut and is perfect. NEW vintique felt channel kits New Vintique Window tracks. Four window regulators in working condition (surface rust) Seats In good shape with a couple small nicks. Solid and comfortable.Battery: None
If you are looking for a nearly complete, olid car that is not finished how someone else wants it, his is the right car for you. This car is almost 90 years old, o lets be real about rust and dents, hey will be there. I am a metalshaper by trade and can tell you that this car is worth investing time and energy in. It has a clear Nebraska builders title. Check out my photobucket page for more pics.P.S. I just realized the photo shows that the metal radiator tube from the engine to the radiator is missing. I have that as well Here is a link to my photobucket slideshow with more pics and a walk around video: Photobucket slideshow
