This Mustang is for those who want it all. Performance, conomy, tyle and comfort.
I took a boring base V6 Mustang, oured my heart, oul and thousands of dollars and made it into what you see today. I babied and loved this car but it's time to move on.
CONDITION:
The current condition is great! As I mentioned in the previous section there are a few rock chips, ost of which I can repair very easily. The tint is bubbling as I mentioned in the rear, o whether you'd like me to replace it or leave it as-is to add your own taste to it will be up to the buyer. The paint still shines just like it did when I got it.There are no mechanical issues. It has had regular oil changes every 5-6,000 miles using Royal Purple 5w20 oil and new filters each time. The transmission fluid has just been changed along with the rear end gear oil. Cabin air filter was changed 3000 miles ago and the intake filter was cleaned and re-oiled 4000 miles ago. Battery was replaced less than 50 miles ago.
The car was backed into about 2 years ago and professionally repaired. The extent of the damage was a bent fender tip (towards the headlight) and scratched bumper. The bumper was replaced and the fender was reformed and repainted.
INTERIOR:
The interior was a bit of creative liberty. The car came with the boring beige-tan interior which I completely replaced with a much classier feeling black from a donor car. The door panels are from a GT California Special that features the carbon fiber vinyl door inserts, titched leatherette armrests along with the premium door speakers and available LEDs from the Ambient Lighting package (being a base car, hese are not hooked up, ut could very easily be done when connecting an amp and also wiring the LED up). The rest of the plastics are from a GT Premium, hich features the much nicer visors with the vanity mirrors, ights and garage door/gate opener. (Again, eing a base car, here are not wires to connect these to, ut with some electrical work it can be done very easily).
On the door panels I replaced the stock vent louvers with a pair of very nice billet aluminum louvers and the door handle inserts with the Running Pony emblem inserts. The interior dome lights have also been replaced by LEDs.
The obvious center pieces are the very nice Roush seats I hadprofessionallyinstalled. These feature the black leather with red Suede inserts which are also perforated in the bottom area to keep cool and the "Jack Roush" signatures embroidered on the front seats. These are extremely comfortable and feel fantastic. The leather has been treated and protected since day 1 of their install. These were brand new when I received them.
The dash is finished in Carbon Fiber look vinyl along with the 3.7L Cyclone (The nickname of the engine) badge. These can very easily be removed if it's not to your liking. The theme continues onto the steering wheel, hich is a brand new Boss 302 Alcantara steering wheel. This wheel features the very nice synthetic suede material that is extremely comfortable and does not heat up or become very cold like leather does. It also features your standard cruise control buttons along with audio controls which can be enabled if you so choose with an adapter to an aftermarket head unit stereo. (This being a base car, id not have that option from the factory.).
The center console features the same look onto the console armrest which features REAL Carbon Fiber shell and extension from Trufiber. It looks very nice and is 100% woven carbon fiber on top of the stock lid.
I replaced the stock door sills with CDC lighted door sills. These feature the aluminum "MUSTANG" panels which are wired up to light up in a very cool Red color when the doors are opened. It is a 100% smoke free car. NO ONE was allowed to smoke inside of it.
AUDIO:
I was able to do some minor upgrades to the audio system but didn't get too crazy as it wasn't a priority. I replace the front stock door speakers with a pair of brand newAlpineType R 6x8 speakers, he rear deck speakers were replaced with a set of Kenwood 6x8s surrounded by boom mat for clarity and protection against vibration should you want to add sub woofers in the rear. As I said earlier, he new door panels also feature the stock premium woofers that are not hooked up at the moment but can very easily be done by connecting them to an amp.
Overall, he sound is much improved over stock, ut to get the most out of these speakers it will require an aftermarket head unit and/or an amplifier.
EXTERIOR:
The exterior is where I spent a lot of time making this car aggressive but not overly cheesy. Starting at the front I replaced the front end with a GT bumper paired with a Saleen grille. This adds a very aggressive front end paired with the smoked Raxiom headlights which feature halos (wired to parking lights should you want only them on rather the headlights as well), k Morimoto HID kit with battery relay to ensure perfect working order. The turn signals have been converted to Switchbacks. They are normally an icy blue color but turn to amber and switch back and forth when the turn signal or hazards are on. The side markers are tinted to add to the aggressive look.
The fenders are a throw back to muscle cars of the past with the diagonal hash marks done in matte black vinyl. Moving back and down to the rocker panels they feature the vinyl "MUSTANG" rocker panels stripes from the 101A Rapid Spec package. Moving up you see the painted mirror caps that replaced the ugly stock black plastic. Then as you look further back to the quarter windows, have added painted GT350 panels. Unlike louvers which might look cheesy and add drag, hese are flush and help give the car a classic fastback profile. Also due to them covering the window, ou need not worry aboutpassengersseeing ugly 3m tape from the inside.
Further back, he car is equipped with the stock mud guards which help tremendously with keeping the rear quarter panels clean and without rock chips from gravel roads. Moving to the rear deck the car just got a very nice Roush 3 piece spoiler painted to match. It is 3 separate pieces but flows very nicely with the car and adds a lot of aggression. At the rear, he third brake light is also tinted along with the quarter panel markers. In the center is a 2013 Mustang decklid panel retrofitted for this 2011. . The pictures show the 2013 Tail lights, owever these will be removed and replaced with the stock tail lights prior to sale. ***
Looking down you see the very nice 4.5" tips of the Borla ATAK Mufflers finished in a nice stainless steel. Which leads me to...
PERFORMANCE:
With this car, erformance was one of my primary concerns. Starting in the engine bay: Airraid Cold Air Intake, his not only adds a bit more of an exhaust note as well as looking fantastic, t also eliminates the need to buy paper filters. The filter can be removed, ashed and re-oiled with the kit (which I will include with sale.). Moving on to the upgraded BBK 73mm Throttle Body, his adds a more responsive throttle and sets the car up for bigger plans later on down the line if you so choose. Looking over you can see the JLT Oil Catch can, his catches engine oil blow-by in the can rather than in the intake manifold. Leading to better engine performance and life. You simply twist off the can and empty it with each oil change.
Dominating the engine bay you can see the SR Performance Strut tower brace. This reduces chassis flex and leads to a much tighter yet not harsh ride. It can take corners with ease and confidence. It has been modified toaccommodatethe extra bolt of the J&M Caster Camber plates. These replace the stock strut mounts and add a massive degree of adjustability at the track if that's your thing. Connected to them are a set of Koni STR.T struts and shocks at the rear with Eibach Pro-Kit springs which lower the car about 1.2" all the way round for an aggressive, ut not inconveniently slammed look. This also includes an adjustable BMR panhard bar in hammertone finish to get the suspension geometry just right.
Then as we look at the exhaust, set of BBK Chrome Longtube headers connect to a BBK Off-Road (Catless) X pipe then back to the fore-mentioned Borla ATAK mufflers. Back to the wheels there are the drilled and slotted rotors all around with ceramic brake pads for superior stopping performance. Moving to the beautiful wheels are 19" American Muscle Racing Hyper Black Laguna Seca replicas. The finish flops from a mercury color to a shiny black depending on the lighting they are in. They are wrapped in 255/30/19 Mickey Thompson Street Comp tires which offer excellent dry and wet performance. (Be aware these are summer only tires, will include the stock wheels and tires for cold weather use). Also included are a full set of black Gorilla lug nuts. All 20 are locking nuts to offer a good amount of deterrent for a would-be thief.
Moving to the rear end the car is equipped with professionally installed 3.73 ratio gears as well as a full rebuild including carbon fiber clutch pack for stronger and more precise differential engagement, ew shims and bearings, ew axle bearings, ord Racing/Steeda finned aluminum differential cover which looks great and alsodissipatesheat much better along with adding a fill and empty port for ease of fluid changes and brand new Royal purple rear end fluid and Ford racingfrictionmodifier.
Also included is a hand-held SCT tuner with tunes from MPT (MorePowerTuning) with aggressive, et daily friendly tunes. These include a normal performance tune including all modifications, he 19" wheels, he same tune only with the very fun Ghost Cam tune (look it up on YouTube to find out more), nd a performance tune for the stock 17" wheels for winter time.
CONCLUSION:
As I said, his is a car for those that want it all. I know because I built it that way. Even as it sits at roughly 290 HP / 280 ft-lb to the wheels it still gets combined MPG of 22-28 depending on how you drive it. It's a very fun car and gets compliments wherever it goes. I'm sad to see it go but I have other plans currently. My loss is your gain. If you have any questions or need any more pictures, eel free to let me know.
. I do still owe on this car, owever the winning bidder will be able to accompany me to my lending bank, rovide the payment to the bank and have clean title in-hand right then and there. There are no other leins against the note. If you win and are not able to come to me we can work out an alternative method to ensure you have title in-hand.
