There's also a snug-fitting black convertible top that fits neatly over the rear styling bar that gives the Saleen an awesome top-down profile. And the trunk looks completely untouched and like new.For power, he S281 used Ford's 4.6 liter SOHC V8 and limited their tweaks to exhaust mods and maybe a computer tune. Otherwise it runs just like any other V8 Mustang, ith plenty of low-end torque, great V8 wail, nd bulletproof reliability. Linked to a sweet-shifting 5-speed and some punchy 3.27 gears out back, t's as much fun to drive as any late-model V8 Mustang. However, here Saleens always excel is in the handling department, nd the S281 got a host of suspension upgrades including Racecraft springs, hocks, way bars, nd bushings, ll of which combine to give this Saleen grip that rivals much more expensive cars. And the spectacular 18-inch chrome alloy wheels are a Saleen signature item, ow wearing staggered 265/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear Michelin performance rubber.
