Up for sale we have a 1964 ½ Ford Mustang Convertible. This was the first year for the Mustang and they were an instant hit. The one we have is a factory D Code which means it was a factory 289 car. This was an early production Mustang that features the matching #s 289. It has underwent a fresh resto and was a 2 owner car. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, nterior, nd driveline of the Ford, ut first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, perated, nd own our entire inventory, o consignments, nd only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. We will start off with the exterior of the Mustang. The body is laser straight with great lines. At the time of the resto they did it right with new bumpers as well as other new chrome. All the stainless looks good and all the glass is good with the side glass working as it should. This ‘Stang is painted in the factory Wimbeldon White that is accented by the new Black top that is Power. The paint is slick and has a deep rich shine. All the weather stripping has been replaced to ensure a good fit of the doors and trunk. Inside the trunk of this car is clean and neat. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” and 20” American Racing Wheels with new Tires.

Next, e will take a look at the interior of the Convertible. On this inside it’s all new and has been done in blue that complements the exterior scheme perfectly. Also, t has the boot to match. It has the correct bucket seats and floor shifter. This ‘Stang retains its stock look right down to the seat belts. When you look at the dash it’s correct with an AM FM Radio.

Finally, e will take a look at the drivetrain of the Ford. Under the hood everything looks correct down to the factory generator. A set of Chrome Valve Covers and breather have been added. It has the Matching Numbers 289 that retains the stock manifolds and single exhaust. The trans is a C4 Automatic mated to the 8” Rear End. This Mustang has Power Steering and 4 Wheel Drum Brakes. When you look under it all the floors look good with good frame rails.
