Description

What you are bidding on is a very original 1957 Ford Thunderbird. I have the very nice porthole hard top for the Tbird. The hard top is white and in great shape. This car does have a very nice black paint job as well as very nice interior. It drives great and does not over heat. It has always been a California car and is an original Raven Black color with red interior. I will do my best to describe the Tbird, owever if you have any questions, oncerns or need additional pictures please let me know. Or please feel free to call me.
Exterior:
The exterior is a very nice and straight Raven Black paint job. The paint job is a few years old, owever still in great shape. The vehicle has no rust and is a true California car with black plates. The bumpers are the original bumpers and they were re-chromed to their original state. The chrome shop did an excellent job on the bumpers and they look great. The rest of the trim pieces also look to be in great shape. The chrome and stainless parts really pop on the car. The porthole hard top is white and looks great with weather strip in really good shape as well as the headliner. The glass is in good shape, he windows roll up and down without any issues. The weatherstrip and felt is in good shape as well.
Interior:
The interior is all red and with a re-upholstered seat, ew carpet, ew sun-visors, kick panels and door panels. All the lights work as well as the signals. The heater, indshield wiper and all gauges work as well. The radio is an original town and country am radio. The clock also works, owever I have it disconnected right now. It also has the original radio antenna. The scan feature works great and it automatically turns the knob as it is scanning for a station. (Really cool feature to see). The interior overall is very clean and has quite the wow factor.
Drive-Train:
The motor is the original 312 motor with the Ford-O-Matic transmission. The car starts very easily and maintains a very good idle. All of the fluids have been changed regularly and it is very maintained very well. The transmission shifts without any issues. The car drives really good and handles well considering its age. The tires are in good shape and they are true white wall tires. The Tbird also has power-steering and power brakes. The car does have a small oil leak, owever I have never seen a Tbird that does not have an oil leak. I was told by the previous owner that the motor and transmission was rebuilt in the mid 90's. The car does have 94K original miles.
I also have all of the manuals as well as the original original handbook for this car. I do have original invoice for the Tbird which shows the Tbird originally went to a dealership in Oakland, A. This car gets a lot of looks. Driving this car is like being in a constant parade. I do have the car advertised locally at several Tbird clubs and therefore maintain the right to end the auction if it sells prior to the end of auction. If the car meets my reserve, will also throw in all of the Classic Early Bird Club monthly magazines dating back to the 1960's which I received from the previous owner. I have more than 14 boxes full of the classic magazines. I also have the workshop manual. This car is truly original and comes with a lot of extras you normally don't see. Several Tbird enthusiast have examined the car and all of them have commented how original this car is and how rust free the body is. Also the Tbird has never been in an accident. The car is currently registered in my name and I hold a clean title/pink slip for the Tbird. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at 916-262-6971.
