1998 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE (SILVER W/ GRAY LEATHER)

This was my son's car while he was in college. About 2 years ago he bought a new car. The car has not been registered for the last two years. In runs very well and the ` transmission shifts smoothly. The fuel and water temperature gauges did not work when I purchased the car and I never got around to getting them repaired.

Overall the body is in very good condition. There is a small dent to the passenger door/rear quarter {SEE PHOTOS}. The paint is good but needs a good cleaning and waxing. The clear coat on the drivers side rocker panel has peeled. The part that has peeled is the plastic overlay say rust is not an issue.

I installed a new top about 3 years ago.

The A/C worked when the car was on the road but does not work now. May only need a charge from sitting.

Power Top works fine.

Tires will possibly pass inspection but will soon need to be replaced.

Wheels are aftermarket and the chrome is rough. I have 3 of the center caps {One is missing}

The seats are Light Gray leather. The leather is soft and not torn.

The steering wheel is also leather but the coating has peeled off on the top half of the wheel. I would replace the wheel or install a cover.

The dash panel is in excellent shape without cracks. The passenger side air vent has a couple of the louvers broken/missing.

The radio is an aftermarket unit with a removable face plate. The face plate keeps falling off.

The carpet is dirty and needs a good cleaning. It is not torn except for the drivers side.where it is damaged near the "hook" used to hold the floor mats in place.

The fuel and water temperature gauges have not worked since I purchased the car. They are a common module and get replaced as a single unit. I have two complete used dash panels that go with the car. One is from a six cylinder vehicle and the other is from a 1998 GT. I have not had time to install either unit.

The exhaust is aftermarket and has a nice sound.
