Up for sale is my 2000 E350. The 4x4 conversion consists of a rock crawler brand 4 link suspension setup, a custom made adjustable track bar, nd all factory super duty tie rod and drag link with new dual rancho steering stabilizers. The rear suspension is a custom shackle flip with 2 inch blocks with built in pinion angle compensation. Still using the stock van leaf springs. This suspension setup offers excellent suspension travel and flex both front and rear, nd rides great down the road!
The axles are both out of a 99 f250 super duty, dana 50 front and sterling 10.5 rear with a limited slip differential. They are 3.73 gears and the front axle just had a complete rebuild. The manual locking hubs on the front are milemarker stainless steel.
It has the 5.4 triton V-8 motor, have always ran mobil 1 extended performance oil with changes every 4000 miles, hen I change the oil it still looks almost new. This motor is capable of 300k plus miles and has been well taken care of. It starts every time and runs flawlessly. Does not burn oil, oose coolant or anything of the sort. it had a full tune up around 20k miles ago with new spark plugs and coil packs.
The transmission has around 40k miles on a full rebuild. Shifts great and has never slipped. The transfer case is a borg warner 1465 manual shift, nown to be one of the most bombproof t-cases for 1 ton trucks.
The rims and tires have less than 3k miles on them, oto metal 18x10 rims with hankook dynapro ATM 325/65/18 tires.
The brakes are new all the way around, alipers, otors, nd pads.
The interior has been fully insulated and then paneled with carpet. It is not a show quality interior but it does its job wonderfully. The road noise is greatly reduced and the van holds its temperature much much better when camping. It has 2 removable passenger bucket seats and a removable bench seat that folds out into a very comfortable full size bed. The front drivers seat is power, nd the 2 front seats are from a universal conversion van and are extremely comfortable for the long road trips. The AC works excellent!
The exterior of the van is in good shape all around, o rust to speak of and very few dents or major scratches, lthough it does have its fair share of small scratches and rock chips. In its former life this van was an electrical contractors van and had a ladder rack on it. Because of that the roof is slightly beat up, t is not bowed in or anything major, ust a few dents and scratches. I painted the door handles color matched white as well as adding a window side door with a pop out window. There is 5% window tint all the way around for privacy when camping as well as to keep the heat out in the summer. I put Duplicolor spray on bedliner on the rocker panels to keep rock chips etc from showing. It has been on for about 3 months and is holding up great! Looks good too. I also added 3 bully steps for each door with custom made braces to the frame to stiffen them up.
There are a couple defects / minor issues:
The dash back lighting does not work, ll of the warning lights and gauges function properly though. I replaced the fuse but it blew it immediately. I do not have time to investigate it, ut it could be something very minor.
The air bag light is on, o idea why.
The rear bumper is slightly dented/bent in on the right side from backing into a tree at about 4 mph.
This van is the perfect template for someone to build a sportsmobile style camper out of, r do what i did and use it as a daily driver/work vehicle.
I will not ship this vehicle, owever i will pick you up from the indianapolis airport free of charge and you can drive it home. I will be uploading more pictures of the interior when my time and internet connection allow. but of course if you want a picture of something in particular dont hesitate to email me.
