This is a real Saleen and I know the story from 44,910. Before then someone put exhaust, ntake, 10 gears(rear end leaks a little)then I bought it at 73,000 miles. Unknowing and in a hurry to buy a car before my wife said no. I bought the car took it home and then when out with my buddy that night and noticed the intercooler air temp was reading erratic but the car had tones of power. So I took the car homeand parked it in the garage. Next morning I popped the hood and the intercooler reservoir was empty. Im a certified ford mechanic with certifications to prove it. So I noticed the coolant had leaked out from the back of the intercooler not happy. pulled the intake manifold with the supercharger out of the car took the super charger off the intake manifold and there it was nasty intercooler with a hole in it because the fuse controlling the electricintercooler pump went bad. I then put a new lfp intercooler in $700, asket kits were around $100 comes with extra gaskets, raided intercooler lines were added $250 I put brand new tires on it $1,200, ebuilt the injectors with new gaskets boots and filters, obil 1 oil change, ransmission fluid change, ear diff fluid changeI inspected the supercharger and noticed it needed to be rebuilt but it wasn't so bad I couldn't use it and my wife didn't want me to spend anymore money so put it back on so I could drive it for a little while.Drove the car about 3'500 miles and I could here the supercharger rattle a little one morning but it stopped so I drove it to work and when I started it to go home it rattled again so I drove the car home and you couldn't hear it rattle but when I pulled into the drive way and it idled down I noticed the rattle was still there and it's been in the garage since. The motor runs strong car is quick.
The smaller details.
Cars old the wheels need to be re chromed the pictures don't really do them justice their covered in dust from sitting they still shine up real nice the drivers front wheel is a replica and it looks as old as all the other wheels the back drivers wheel has the most curb rash They are the staggered 18x10 rear with sumitomo 285 35 zr18 $200 each18x9 front with 265 35 zr18 $165 each plus mount and balance.
The paint is pretty good needs good buff job. hood and front bumper need new paint but don't look to bad. Some jerk put a dent in it that's about 2 inches long between the drivers door and fender not too noticeable. Car has a few scratches.
Interior is still nice the trim piecethat surrounds the shifter has 2 toggle switches to control the electric pump and fans for the intercooler. I ran my own wires to bypass the factory Saleen wiring. All the wiring is still there to make it stock with out the switch. I wanted to know if it was running.
I had a baby and need a down payment on a house or I wouldn't be selling this car. I will be able to get a house with out selling this car next year so if it doesn't sell I may repost 1 more time. If it still doesn't sell im fixing it myself and keeping it. I described this car the best I can it's number 733 and its a collector car that you don't see often.
