This is a rare T-Bird Convertible. The first year Ford came out with a 4 seat version. Over $9,000 has been spent to dateon the engine, ransmission, uspension, rakes and interior (receipts are included). he engine well and the trunk were sanded and repainted to original specs in the process since the engine and transmission were pulled to simplify the restoration. The convertible top and theinterior (including the trunk liner, ash board, arpet and seats) were replaced or restored. There is also an upgraded sound system installed discretely to keep the integrity of the car in tact.
The car stillneeds new paint and chrome to make it"shine", ut this was not a frame off restoration. The carwas always intended to be driven and enjoyed so normal wear and tear from the original restoration is apparent under the hood and in the back seat - That is compared to it looked like it came back from the mechanic after the restoration work 5 years ago.
Other issues to consider include the following: Even though there has been significant work done restoring and refurbishing the engine and transmission there are still leaks. the electric window control for the right rear window is not working properly. The power top hydraulics needs fluid and appears to have a leak in one of the hoses.
There are photos of the restoration process, riginal parts and manuals.
