Description

Offering an extremely well-maintained 1997 Ford F250 Heavy Duty Crew Cab Shortbed 4x4 with a 7.5L (460) Gas Motor -- NO RESERVE!

The odometer reads ~196500 miles…roughly 10000 mi/yr…a bit lower than average. But the truck is in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION THROUGHOUT!

The engine was replaced with a REMANUFACTURED motor at 169,139 miles…only ~27,365 miles on the engine! I just had the transmission serviced in May and got a clean bill of health from the mechanic. The driveshaft bearing was replaced at the same time as well.

It has cruise control, umbar bolsters, old A/C, ower Windows, ower Locks, liding rear window, INEX bedliner, ustom cab steps (also LINEX-d) and bed tonneau cover to name a few important features.

The truck has no body rot and only three small blemishes of surface rust or paint bubbles (thanks, rappy body guys; see accompanying photos)! The bed rails/floor are rust-/rot-free. The truck comes from Nebraska originally and I have replaced nearly all components that either failed or needed upgrade. I have fought (and won) all the typical Ford truck rust problems while I’ve owned it and the body reflects that nicely. I’ve kept lots of receipts along the way and can honestly claim that this truck remains a solid 8.5-9.0 on a ten-point scale.

Here’s a short list of what’s been replaced/rebuilt (as memory permits):

  • Engine (only ~28000 miles!)
  • Headers (also brand-new, nused exhaust Y pipe to accompany purchase)
  • Exhaust system
  • Catalytic Converter(s)
  • O2 sensors
  • Leaf Springs (front/rear)
  • Steering box
  • Steering Shaft
  • Front end components (all)
  • Ball joints upper/lower (all)
  • Brake pad/rotors/calipers/hoses (all)
  • Brake shoes/Drums/wheel cylinders (all)
  • Fuel Tanks (side/rear)
  • Fuel pumps (both)/filter
  • Radiator Core Support
  • Radiator
  • Grille
  • Idler/Pulley
  • Battery
  • Stereo/speakers
  • K&N Air Filter
  • Front Quarter Panels (L/R)
  • Wheel Arch Trim (all)
  • Doors (all four; used – from Arizona)
  • Tailgate (has a rust spot lower left)
  • Shocks (ProComp; all four)
  • Manual Locking Hubs (L/R) – rebuilt
  • Welded-in Driver’s side lower cab corner
  • Welded-in Driver’s side rear wheel arch
  • 75% remaining on Nitto Terra Grappler tires (all four)
I drove the truck from Nebraska to RI and she got 13 mi/gallon highway! Not bad at all…and it drove like a dream (70+ mph nearly the whole way). The truck isn’t 100% and I’m not selling it like it is…it’s a 1997. If you’re looking to buy a great truck with awesome looks that turns heads wherever she drives, hen you want to bid on her.

I do not provide any warranty of any kind, xpressed or implied. The vehicle is being sold AS IS without a warranty. It has current RI registration, nsurance, nd a clear/clean title.

Winning bidder is responsible for picking up/transporting the vehicle. The vehicle is currently located in Warwick, I.

Remember, t’s a 1997…not a new vehicle. This body style is becoming increasingly RARE and condition is everything…she’s in EXCELLENT shape! Please look at the pictures…I’ve shown both the good and the not-so-good so you can make an informed bid. Good luck and happy bidding!
