For sale is a meticulously restored 1965 mustang. This car has been restored from the ground up and has less than 100 test miles since completion in August 2015! everything is brand new. Any day of the week on ebay or at a car show you see a red or blue mustang with white stripes and eleanor wheels. Everything on this car is brand new from the wheels and tires up to the headliner. with about 90% of cars sold on ebay its a gamble of what you are going to get, ou bid on a car because it looks good in pictures but when you get it, t’s a major disappointment. Before Restoration

As everyone knows rust is the number one issue when it comes to early mustangs. Not with this car; restoration started with a clean and rust free CA mustang (R code), ith C code 289 v8. The mustang was found in Burbank CA where it was kept in a garage all of its life with only 53k original miles on the body. Not one spot of rust was found on the body as well as it having all original body panels, aking it the perfect platform for a high end restoration. In the restoration photos you will see the original factory primer still on the floor pans, runk, nd interior. Also photos have been included of all the original factory stampings on the quarter panels, runk drops offs, ender, oors, eck lid, nterior quarter, rame rails, adiator support, tc. I can talk on and on about how amazing all the door gaps body panels and lines on the car are but ill let the pictures do the talking.

Paint

The mustang was completely stripped apart and taken down to bare metal and epoxy primered. from there off to the body shop where a beautiful 2 stage dupont base coat clear coat raven black was applied; after paint the clear coat was wet sanded with 1200 grit up to 3000 then buffed and polished for a mirror like shine. window trim, hrome, ent windows, ront bumper etc were painted matte black for a modern and wicked look.

interior

with everything striped the interior dash pad was deleted along with a radio delete panel installed. which was originally done on 1965 GT350R mustangs. all seats were taken down to the metal frames, and blasted and painted for rust protection, hen new deluxe seat foam was added and then finally covered with the beautiful pony upholstery. all new cut pile carpet with mass back, nderlayment, hifter, oor panels, indow handles, t bezel, hrome pieces, tc etc. the entire interior is brand new from carpet to the headliner. all parts used are scott drake and made in the USA. original 1965 gt gauge cluster was restored and rolled back to zero.

drive train

everything from engine, ransmission, uspension, nd rear end has been replaced or rebuilt and is brand new. the original 289 was gone when the car was purchased so a mild rebuild 1969 date coded 302 was put in its place. mild cam, orted heads, nbsp;new pertronix electronic distributor, ater pump, uel pump, orker 289 intake, delbrock 1406 carb with upgraded accelerator pump and floats checked, lternator, tarter, adiator etc etc all new. rebuilt c4 transmission and torque converter, ear end was gone through and rebuilt with 3.00 gears non posi. new rear shoes, ear wheel cylinders, ardware kit, rums and rotors etc. new power disc brakes with dual master cylinder, ew brake hoses, ew bearings and seals. brand new lower control arms, ew upper ball joints, trut rod bushings. brand new 4 KYB shocks. brand new Global West 620 1” drop front coil springs and new GT rear leaf springs. new u-joints, ew motor mounts, ew trans mount. this mustang starts first turn of the key and has a nice lopey idle. get in and cruise anywhere, tep on the gas and the car pulls hard and has a bunch of torque in the upper rpms.

electrical

all brand new factory correct electrical from front to back, pgraded to 1966 mustang harness to run 1965 GT gauges. brand new red LED gauge lights so the cluster lights up red at night. everything is in working order all lights, ipers, urn signals, auges, ourtesy lights, love box light, tc work perfectly

stripes

all stripes were custom made and professionally installed. (removable is buyer desires) high quality 3M 4D carbon fiber vinyl stripes cut to original shelby specs run down the center of the car and over the front bumper with ¼” red pinstripes for contrast.

Overall this mustang is one of the nicest cars for sale and ready for a new owner.
