Description

This 1951 Ford Coupe, alled a Shoebox, as had the works done to it. Completely gone through, ebuilt or upgraded drive train, ew interior including sound proofing, disc CD changer, nd kustom body work listed below. This has been one of the nicest driving classic cars I've ever owned. It starts up quickly and strong, tops on a dime, ruises at high speed without issue, andles very well, oesn't leak a drop of oil, nd sounds amazing! The body is incredibly straight as well, o dents dings or waves. This is a very fun and comfortable car to drive.
Drivetrain:1953 Mercury 255 Cubic Inch Flathead v8. The highest rated horse power flathead.- Recent rebuild from The Pit Stop, ho specializes in Flathead motors.- 4bbl carburator- 12v conversion- Has ZERO leaks!
Chevrolet T5 Transmission- 5speed manual transmission
Maverick 8" Rear End- Better gear ratio for the T5 match up and highway cruising
- Working lake pipes! More so now a-days you see them and they're just for show. These are absolutely functional lake pipes, ust pull the caps off and let it go!- New tires
This car starts instantly, nd goes 70-80mph down the freeway easily and without issue.
Interior:- 6 Disc CD changer- Radio & Cassette player- Sounddeadeningmatting under a brand new carpet- New interior including a new headliner- Custom inset gauges in the dash which includes two water gauges for each of the motors heads - If you've ever owned a flathead, ou know about the overheating problem they can have if not well cared for and monitored. Having two water temperature guages, ne for each side, elps you keep the car from overheating. The car runs at 170 all day.- All gauges work! Temperature, mperage, uel, peedometer, lock, il pressure.- All lights and turn signals work- Heater works- Trunk is carpeted as well and comes with a spare.- All glass is good. There is zero de-lamination (clouding) on the glass- All new rubber on the windows and doors.
Kustom body work:- Frenched headlights- Frenched antenna- Shaved Door handles with custom controls to get into the car- Nosed & Decked hood- Shaved trunk with popper in the car to get into the trunk- Running Skirts
This car is an absolute blast to drive around in. Mechanically she is perfect. The paint is an older paint job and while it's very showable, here are a few knicks in it from being driven and could use a new paint job in a few years. They're not visible unless you go over the car with a comb.
I'm sure there's things I'm forgetting to list, o feel free to send me a message to get my number and I'll happily go over the car with you.
Transportation out of Texas/around Texas: I can help arrange transport through a number of vendors I've had success with, r I can deliver the car up-to 300 miles from Houston for a fee.
