Description

I bought this Taurus about 6 months ago and have put about 10,000 miles on it during that time, t has never let me down. It rides like a Lincoln and has been averaging 26 MPG, p to 30 MPG on the highway. My commute has recently changed so I no longer need the vehicle which is the reason I am selling.
Overall the car is very solid with no major issues. During the time I have owned I have done the following work:
Amsoil oil change
K&N air filter
4 new tires
2 new ignition coils
Replaced all spark plugs
Upper and lower intake manifold gaskets
Rear sway bar end links
Front pads and rotors
JBL 100w amplifier from a Taurus SHO
Billet grill
Power steering fluid flush
Canister purge valve
Replaced front bumper (old one cracked)Installed straight pipe in place of original muffler for better exhaust flow and sound (original muffler will be included with the sale if you should choose to reinstall it).
The only things the car will need are:
- When I replaced the tires I forgot to have the valve stems changed out as well. As a result, he valve stem ($3 part) in the right rear leaks a little bit of air; about 3-5 PSI a week. There is nothing wrong with the tires.
- The car will occasionally throw a code (P1443) for the Evap Container and will not allow the gas tank to fill completely, sually just below the "F" line. It's been like that since I owned it and really has never been an issue. Mechanic says that, ince I already replaced the purge valve, he issue is just a clogged or cracked vacuum line. I work 50+ hours a week with a 65 minute commute each way so, uite frankly, just haven't put in the time to test each line.
- The power steering pump has the typical Ford "whine" to it that almost every Taurus gets. The fluid has been changed (with conditioners added) and the car still handles very well, he pump just makes noise.
- The tachometer (RPM gauge) disconnected somewhere behind the dash and is currently not working.
Other than that the car has no issues and has been a very reliable source of transportation for me over the last few months, nd it took on a lot of miles in a short period of time with no problems. It has a few dents and scratches like all 15 year old cars but the paint still shines. The undercarriage is clean and straight. The interior is in good condition, inus a few pieces of leather trim separating from the door handle and a few small stains. The seats are very comfortable and the car is especially comfortable for long drives.
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. I think this is a good car for the money and there is nothing to hide.I will be driving the car every day until it is sold so the mileage may change.
All sales are final and no warranty is expressed or implied. Final payment should be made in person at the time of the exchange in cash or certified check. All bidders are encouraged to view the car before bidding.
