In Feburary 1968, ord authorized the California Ford Dealers to begin marketing the limited edition "California Special". 4,118 units were produced, 51 units of which were re-marketed to Denver Colorado as "High Country Special '68' ". Here is serial number 153998, n early production unit still motivated by the legendary 289. The car came equipped with the beautiful Gulf Stream Aqua exterior with white stripes, nbsp;A/C (still blows ice cold), 89 2 barrell V8, 4 automatic transmission, ower steering and power front dics brakes, inted glass and AM radio with blue interior. The car shows 5,632 miles and is certainly on it's 2nd go around but you wouldn't know by how it rides, uns and drives. There is no rust or bondo anywhere on this car and the original red oxide paint can be seen throughout the underside. Last licensed in California in 2001 and not a thousand miles since it arrived in Arkansas. Always garaged and covered, t hasn't seen rain in at least the last 14 years. Great example of a rare, month production cycle mustang from early to mid 68. Good luck bidding. Any questions call Ron 501-276-2304.
