Ford : E-Series Van E150 Club Wagon
Rare Short Wheelbase Window Van with Manual O/D Transmission
I recently purchased this van on eBay couple of years ago after looking for several years for one with these specs. It is the short wheelbase Club Wagon with seats and windows, as the bullet-proof 300 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder (best motor Ford ever built), simple and reliable 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive, nd the robust Ford 9-inch rear axle. The body needs some TLC (there are some rusted thru holes along the bottom), My plan was to restore and paint the body and use this van as a service vehicle but plans have changed. The van has been in indoor storage and exercised every couple of months.
This is the hard to find short wheelbase model and even harder to find with a manual transmission (Rare).
The previous owner bought it 10 years ago with 46k miles on it and its been taken good care of, hanged the oil every 3000 miles, nstalled a better radio, and some much better front seats. Its getting some rust, nder the side doors and on the back doors. It's fun to drive, nd it runs great, ses no oil..and it's in good shape for its age. Tires are about 50%. It has a leaking brake line, he alternator is not working, nd it needs a tail pipe.
It's a rare van with this configuration and well worth restoring.
