1930 Ford Model A Coupe w/ Factory Rumble Seat
Selling our Model A that has documented paperwork from the 60's. We are the 3rd owner of which it has been in California all it life based in Northern California. Car has been well taken care of and restored in the 80's. In 1989 it was appraised ( see pic below ) after the restoration. Coupe runs terrific through he hills of California and has been in many parades and Model A club reliability runs throughout the years.
Body is and has been well taken care of and seems to have be kept inside out to the weather. During restoration the roof was filled to eliminate the vinyl top and notorious water leaks. Wood is still in roof under the headliner as well as all wood in door pillars just as it was when stock.
Engine was rebuilt with inserted bearings and updated valves. Runs well with good spark and compression. Spark advance and throttle levers inside all work as the should. Zenith downdraft carb. Coupe is still 6 volt. Transmission is factory 3 speed that was gone through when motor was rebuilt. Trans shifts will through the gears and is non-syncro first. Clutch engages well with no shudder. Stock banjo rear end that is nice and quiet. Exhaust was replaced from manifold all the way back 3 years ago.
Interior is very nice with no issues. All glass in great shape with door glass rolling up and down with ease. Front windshield pops out as it should do from factory. Gas gauges and odometer all work. Ignition key all work and it still factory push button start on the floor.
Brakes are all Mechanical and work well. Emergency brake work also with no issues.
Suspension is all stock and handles well down the road as an 85 year old car would. Factory 19" rims with good tires and spare on rear.
California title with Matching VIN number on title and engine, lso has Matching California Black plates from 1963 that match the title as well.
