Selling my newly restored 1965 Mustang Coupe, hat I have owned since 1992. The car was completely sanded down to bare metal, nly rust spot on it was passenger rear quarter panel, nd that was replaced with a new panel. The car then was sprayed with etch primer, K, hen with Sherwin Williams single stage Jet Black. I get many compliments on the look, lthough there are a few spots with slight waves, s in the hood which is fiberglass and isn't completely straight, hould have been blocked better. These things are noticed by me mostly because I know they are there but the average person does not notice. The motor is a 351W, ebuilt about 15 years ago, nly driven about every other weekend.
it has an Edelbrock Performer intake, delbrock 750 4 barrel carb, V cam, eadman long tube headers, delbrock water pump, SD 6 ignition module, SD coil, ne wire chrome Alt, arch under drive pulleys, rand new ECP Alum. radiator, have a new Flex a Lite electric fan and control module I will throw in. I installed it, ike the mechanical better for me, o swapped back. Magnaflow 2.5 inch exhaust with X-pipe. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch which I just installed an Eaton/Detroit Truetrac Limited Slip diff. with Motive 3.50 gear set. When building this car I wanted to go for a GT look but with parts you could have gotten at the time, nd nothing flashy. I removed all the badging and emblems; installed a rear GT valance, ront Shelby racing apron with grill made to match stock grill above, T fog lights, helby fiberglass hood. I relocated front A arms 1 inch lower (Shelby drop), 20lbs front coils, ew HD rear leafs, eefy front sway bar, onte Carlo bar, xport brace, YB shocks all around with roller spring perches in the front. The car has powered disc brakes all around and 1967 dual reservoir master cylinder. I also fully welded in sub frame connectors. The wheels are American Racing Torq Thrust II's 16x7 with BF G Sport comp 2 tires. Interior has been all redone, he headliner although new has some wrinkles in it. The dash has been cut for a modern size radio already. The transmission is a T5z 5 speed that is only about a year old with King Cobra clutch. I set up a cable clutch system too so no bulky Z bar and linkage, nd I installed a roller bearing clutch pedal as well. So the clutch actuation is nice and smooth! I recently installed a Lokar floor mount parking brake, ut at this time it does not engage the Versaille disc's fully. This seems to be a theme with these discs, brake mechanic or shop could probably get this squared away easily. This is the only mechanical issue with this car, he engine runs strong, rans shifts smooth, o leaks, o noises anywhere. This car is seriously fun to drive and I get heads turning and thumbs up every time I take it out. Hate to see it go, ut I have other priorities now. Car is located in Ventura CA
