Description

I have a 2002 ford excursion limited powered by a 7.3L turbo diesel. I purchased the excursion 3 years ago from an owner in Kentucky. I purchased the excursion to tow our boat, nd trailers ect. I purchased it with 311,00 miles and it now has 349,000.
The excursion has had the axles rebuilt with new seals and bearings, il cooler repaired and resealed, ew EBS sensor and tube, ew alternator, warn manual hubs, ater pump, njectors, nd transmission was rebuilt by previous owner. I installed a tuner and cold air intake for an increase in MPG.
The rear suspension has Firestone air bags for towing. The interior is in decent shape, he drivers seat has a rip in the normal spot, ut besides the imperfections in the leather, he interior is in great shape. The limited model has steering wheel radio and cruise controls, and the back seat has the entertainment center with a flip down screen. There is no rust, verything works. Price reflects condition.
The Bad
The issue the excursion has is that the HPOP has a small oil leak from a failed o-ring. The repair consists of taking out the HPOP and replacing the mounting gasket. The gasket is $25 and takes about an hour to replace. I dont have the mechanical ability to replace it. There is a dent on the rear bumper, purchased it that way. Power steering pump is getting weak and should be replaced soon.
This is a really good running truck! I just had the injectors buzz tested and they all sounded great! If you have any question just ask. The Title is free and clear of any loans or liens.
I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS AUCTION AT ANY TIME AS THE VEHICLE IS FOR SALE LOCALLY.

Yes I believe its the mounting gasket. The mechanic told me that the pump would need to be removed in order to replace the gasket. Yes, verything works as it should. The power windows, ocks, ruise and A/C works as it should. The A/C blows cold, ad the compressor checked and recharged over the summer and it works well.
The paint is in pretty good shape. The only imperfections in the body are the front and read bumpers(dents, aint blemishes). The photos show the truck as "dirty" and not detailed or cleaned up. I wanted to show the vehicle at its worst. I don't want to show the vehicle detailed and make it out to be something its not. If your looking for a truck you can take to a car show this is not the truck, ts a truck that runs very well and has a few minor issues. I think it's best suited to do a job, nd used as a utility vehicle as it was intended.

It has been starting great! It has an upgraded aftermarket starter installed. The aftermarket starter spins faster, nd a 7.3 is a huge motor and needs it. That stock starter is a joke.
It hasn't been real cold yet this year, ut last winter we had it in the UP of Michigan on a snowmobile trip and it fired up in below zero weather without being plugged in. When its real cold out there is an small initial puff of white smoke at startup, nd not when idling. I was told this is totally normal. I only plug it in when it gets real cold out, nd have not had any need to plug it in this year yet. I have to say the excursion does roll some coal when you get on it with the tuner installed.
Everything is stock on the turbo. The turbo shaft has ZERO play and is in good shape. This excursion doesn't have a cat, ust a muffler. I believe its the stock system.

There is very little "blowby". I was actually shocked to see that there was almost zero blowby when I bought it. I did the typical blowby test with the oil fill cap it it passed easily. If you send a cell phone number capable of receiving video I can shoot a quick vid and send it.

Yes, he brakes are in great shape. The front has drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads. The rear just had new calipers, ads and rotors installed 4 months ago.

yes, he tuner is adjustable on the fly. It has 6 positions. Stock, igh idle, 0hp tow, 5 hp daily driving, 00hp "race", nd 140 hp "all out". I get about 17 MPG around town and I would guess about 20 on the highway unloaded. The "lie o meter" on the roof is unreliable, ut If i had to guess that's what it would be.
The tires will need changed. The tires that are on it are 3 years old. I put a new set of 285/75/16D all terrains on it when I bought it. They are now worn, nd should be replaced soon.
