It starts up great with no smoke. no blow by when warm. Nice crisp power all the way through the RPM band and the transmission shifts great. I just had it PA state inspected. All brakes. tie rods. exhaust and lighting are above specks and we just installed a brand new set of BFG All-Terrains on it. they hook up nice and are quiet on the road and in my opinion ad to outstanding cosmetics of this truck. Undercarriage is very clean with no rust or corrosion. The frame does not have an oz of rattle can black on it. I personally like the black frame look but I know all your Guru’s out there want to see an honest representation of the truck so here it is no makeup or beauty products on this truck. it is what it is. Nice. No leaks to mention. A/C is ice cold as well. The only flaw mechanically is a slight driveline vibration only when the throttle is hardly pushed in (I had it looked at all u-joints are good. my mechanic believes it needs the driveshaft balanced if you wanted rid of it. but it’s perfectly fine to drive as is). Get in and drive this truck to California and back. it is solid. Cosmetically this truck is very nice. As you would expect from a 16 year old truck that was only owned by one person the paint and body are very nice. It does have a few door dings and tiny scratches and stone chips but overall the paint shines very well and it has a great appearance. I’m a very picky guy and I wouldn’t mind having this pretty van sitting out front of my home (although I believe if you have it out front you will have more than a few people knocking on your door asking to buy it because they never saw one like it). All glass is nice with no damage. Privacy glass in the rear. The interior is her only down side. The seats are vinyl and two seams are pulling apart. door panels are showing wear as the rear are only fiberboard. rear cargo sides are a little beat up. but it is all there and intact. Dash is nice. rubber floor is all in good shape. the headliner is nice as well. I could have spent a few hundred bucks fixing it up but my thought was this; if it were my van I would gut the back and do a camper build out and have the most amazing and unique camper at the campground. Your dream could be turning this into a mobile food truck. mobile office. mobile welding truck. the options are limitless but I do know that this is a very rare and unrusted example of a quigly’s diesel van.
