The truck is in decent shape. The 302 V8 runs like a top, tarts instantly every time. The transmission shifts smoothly. Having no hitch receiver, ts safe to assume the transmission has never had to work too hard. The battery is good, was just out of town for 2 weeks and it fired right up when I got back. The interior is in great shape, o rips or tears, he dash looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. The windows are manual, ut they go up and down smooth. The corner windows also work well, nd they all seal up good. The heat blows hot, o matter how cold it is outside you can be sweating in a tee shirt inside the cab in short order. The AC does not work, have not bothered to figure out why. Dual gas tanks, either one leaks, have been told that is a rarity.
Now for the issues: There is some rust on the body, t has been painted over by one of the previous owners, o it doesn't look too bad, ut its there. The frame is really rusty, o rusty that on the front passenger corner the bracket that holds the spring in place broke. My mechanic tells me the brake line will brake while replacing it also. His words - "The parts are inexpensive" take that for whatever its worth, did not get a quote. I wanted an excuse to get a full size van, his was it.
