Description

I PURCHASED THIS TRUCKLESS THANA YEAR AGO FOR THE INTENT ON PULLING MY SMALL EQUIPMENT TRAILER. I HAVE NOT USED IT FOR THAT PURPOSE YET AND HAVE DECIDED TO SELL. THE TRUCK IS NOT MODIFIED AND HAD ALWAYS DRIVEN WELL. I JUST DROVE IT YESTERDAY AND NOTICED THE POWER STEERING IS NOT WORKING, HIS IS ALSO AFFECTING THE POWER BRAKES WHICH I BELEIVEARE HYDRAULIC BOOSTED. IT IS NOT MAKING ANY NOISES AND NEVER HAS IN THE STEERING. NOT SURE WHAT THE ISSUE IS INTHE STEERING AS I AM NOT A DIESEL MECHANIC. I CHECKED THE FLUID AND IT APPEARED A LITTLE LOW SO I ADDED SOME BUT NO CHANGE. IT ALSO BEGAN A NO START ISSUE THAT I DID SOME RESEARCH ON YOU-TUBE BUT HAVEN'T REALLY FIGURED IT OUT. DROVE IT HOME, ENT TO START THE NEXT DAY AND IT TURNS OVER BUT DOESN'T START. I PURCHASED A SMALL INEXPENSIVE DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER AND PLUGGED IT IN. IT PULLED A CODE FOR THE EGR, LOW BOOST CODE FROM THE TURBO AND A CODE FOR THE CAM POSITION SENSOR. I RESET THE CODES, IT THE KEY AND IT STARTED. I SHUT IT OFF SEVERAL TIMES AND IT STARTED BACK EVERY TIME. I STARTED IT YESTERDAY AND TOOK IT FOR A DRIVE TO PICK UP SOME PARTS AND NOTICED THE STEERING AND BRAKES ACTING LIKE THE ENGINE ISN'T RUNNING. I WENT TO START IT TODAY WHEN TAKING PICTURES AND IT DIDN'T START. I DIDN'T HOOK UP THE SCANNER AND ONLY TRIED A COUPLE TIMES. THE WIND CHILL WAS SUB ZERO AT THE TIME BUT I DON'T FEEL THAT SHOULD PLAY AN ISSUE IF EVERYTHING IS 100%.


I WILL SAY THAT THE TRUCK DRIVES NICE AND EVERYTHING BUT THE REVERSE SENSORS SEEM TO WORK GREAT. THE HEAT IS HOT AND THE A/C IS COLD (IN APPROPRIATE CLIMATES).THE ONLY THING I'VE REPLACED ON THE TRUCK SINCE PURCHASING IS THE AIR FILTER AND AIR FILTER GAUGE. I HAVE NOT EVEN CHANGED THE OIL. THE TIRES HAVE 7/32 TREAD. THE FRONT HUBS WERE REPLACED AT SOME TIME PRIOR TO ME OWNING WITH MILE MARKER HUBS. THE SEAT IS NOT TORN AND WORKS GREAT. ALL WINDOWS WORK GREAT. IT IS MISSING THE BACK SEAT AND I WAS QUOTED 100.00 TO GET A USED ONE. THE BOTTOM OF THE BED IS NOT RUSTED OUT OR DENTED/BUCKLED FROM CARRY HEAVY LOADS. THIS WOULD MAKE SOMEONE A NICE TRUCK AND HAS A HIGH RETAIL VALUE EVEN WITH THE MILEAGE. THE EXHAUST HAS NO LEAKS. THE TAILGATE IS OFF A F250 AND WAS ON THE TRUCK WHEN I PURCHASED IT. I JUST PURCHASED ANOTHER 1 TON, O I REALLYDON'T NEED THIS TRUCK NOW WHICH IS WHY I DECIDED NOT TO INVEST ANY MONEY INTO IT. THE REPAIRSIT WOULD TAKE TO MAKE THISTRUCK A SOLID PERFORMER ARE LIKELY MINIMAL.


I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ANYONE INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT THE TRUCK. I CAN SAY IT HAS NEVER LEFT ME STRANDED. IT HAS NEVER SHUT OFF WHILE RUNNING AND SEEMS TO RUN SMOOTH. TRANSMISSION WORKS GREAT AS DOES THE 4X4.
