1968 Mustang Fastback vin number 8R02J127207 I'm relisting because a Jerk from the United Arab Emirates bid on this car right along and with less than 2 min to go in the Auction he bid and hit the reserve so he knew what he was doing and I haven't heard from him at all after hitting the reserve what a Jerk! If you can't pay don't bid. I don’t know that much about these cars so I’m listing the numbers I have. I took this car on a trade for a car I had and I’m assuming it’s not a numbers matching car but I’m not sure so I’m not claiming it is or not. But according to the previous owner it is. What I do know is that these 68 Fastbacks are one of the hottest muscle cars going just watch any of the auctions Mecum, arrett ETC. The 67 -68 Fastbacks are selling with ease and bringing good money. Here’s a few more numbers before I get into the description( Body 63B, 68 factory 302 Fastback I haven’t checked the numbers on the block but I would say according to the previous owner that it is the original block but I won’t say it is because I haven’t checked)( Color T =Red) ( Trim 6D =2+2)( Date 09A,=1/9/1968) (DSO 75= Phoenix)( Axle 8- 350 gear) ( Trans H = automatic) (Also has the factory red crinkle deluxe interior that the car was born with) This car I would grade as overall condition as a 7.5 on a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the highest. I’m pretty picky and have built and own some very nice magazine cars. This is not a Magazine car but it is nice car and it is way above average. The body is very straight and solid and I don’t see any evidence of rust. I think the quarters are all original to the car but there is a small patch on the pass side floor pan, t’s not real big and it looks like it was done right. I probably shouldn’t have mentioned it because it shouldn’t stop anyone from buying the car and having any concern about it but being honest it’s there. The underside is a factory look and is clean. The paint on the car is older and has a few blems but it’s still very very presentable and way above average (the pictures tell the story.) I would categorize the trim the same way its way above average. The original factory interior has no rips or tears and the rear seat folds down (see pictures) The car has a very clean 302 motor(possibly the original motor?) that sits in a nice clean engine compartment. It runs strong and the previous owner told me it was rebuilt 5 years ago and has only driven to cruises but didn’t know the exact mileage. I can tell you it starts right up and runs strong. The car has after market air that works and blows cold. It has factory power steering and power front disc brakes. The transmission is automatic ( possibly the original trans) and shifts like it’s suppose to. The wheels are Tork Thrusts and look great on the car. It has dual exhaust and sounds great. The car is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time. If shipping is needed I can hook you up with a shipper I have used many times he is dependable and reasonable and ships anywhere. My first choice is to sell the car but I might consider a trade but I’m very picky and don’t want any projects. I’m a big fan of LS fuel injected Motors in older chevell, Novas,Camaros, ick up trucks if you have anything like that? Please send pictures of any trade offers to dadofcars@yahoo.com As always the car is sold as is with no warranty. Again I’m not selling this car as a numbers matching car but It could be ? I just haven’t checked and really don’t know how to. Please call 330-353-0959 if you have any questions thank you
