Description

This truck is all original and is absolutely beautiful! It was bought locally thru Bowen Scarff Ford in Kent, ashington and hasenjoyed a privileged life.
  • Garaged from day one with a camper on it, he bed has been preserved and is in really nice shape. There's some scratches and a couple of holes drilled for camper tie-downs on each corner, ome rubs on the bed itself from the camper, ut if the bed was buffed out, t would shinelike the rest of the truck. I included a couple of shots of the bed showing the camper tie-down areas and where the bed was rubbed by the tailgate. There is one dent in the floor of the bed on the drivers side close to the cab. I didn't get a shot of it.
  • The ALL ORIGINAL paint is lustrous and is in remarkable shape. I included some shots of the door jambs, hich look factory fresh, nd look closely at the original floor coverings. There are a few small touch ups to the paint here and there,a few very minor small depressions in the sheet metal with the only really noticeable oneat the front of the hood. Look to the right of the F in Ford; I included an image of it.
  • About paint: With the carcollecting hobby placing a premiumon originality, left everything as purchased. I spent a lot of time arguing with myself about it but thetruck is so "PURE", couldn't do it. If one was inclined, o makethe paint/bodyclose to perfect, was going to paint the bed rails and shoot the hood.
  • This truck has zero rust.
  • All of the chrome and anodized trimare in almost perfect condition. The light lenses are clear and bright.
  • The all original door cards, eat, eadliner, nd dash look like thetruck was delivered yesterday. There is one seam in the driver seat that has started to let go, ut it's an easy fix.
  • Every light works.
  • The AM radio works, ut I can only find one station...not sure what to think about that...I love that it's a classic country station. There is a small bend at the top of the antenna.
  • The tires are in almost new condition, nd the after market wheels really look great on the truck! Masculine and very F250. I have all four of the very nice original hubcaps, ne cap has a small dent. You can see them in the image of the optional tool box (which by the way, s in very solid condition). The original 16" rims didn't make it.
  • The glass is all very nice, he windshield has two very small chips that need to be repaired. I have been meaning to pull into the local auto glass company but haven't gotten to it.
  • All of the door seals andwidow seals look like new. The doors close with a satisfying "clunk",just like the day it left the factory.
  • Window go up and down. No issues. If you look closely, he knob on the passenger window winder is missing. I have it and the rivet to attach it, ut haven't gotten around to it. I will include it.
  • The glove box is like new.
  • Wipers work great. Gauges work great. Dash is beautiful; the last year for this instrument cluster; the gauges get big and square with lots of fake wood graining in '73. Not a fan.
  • All the switchgear is operational and in great condition.
  • Included are all of the original manuals, indow sticker, arrantee identification card (Fords Protecto-Plate) with the vin and model number that is pressed like a credit card used to be, n original factory sales brochure, actory build sheet, owing instructions,"Starting Instructions" sleeve that slides over the driver side visor (removed after delivery and is always missing), arrantee Facts service card, he original jack, nd a 1972 Ford color selections brochure.
  • I am the fourth owner. And while the name of the color is SEQUOIA BROWN METALLIC, t is a really nice copper hue. I love it, nd I don't like brown. The cream interior color is a really nice contrast.
  • The engine room is a little dirty but original and without leaks. I can even see some of the original factory chalk marks.
Maintenance:
  • The truck received new exhaust in June, 011.
  • Tires look new with the originalrubber nibs still evident. I have no receipt.
  • The previous owner needed to replace the original mirrors with a shortened version so he could get it in his garage. I have the originals and the stainless is perfect and carry the Ford script. I have a 11 foot garage door so left the mirrors as purchased. The originals will come with the truck. And if you look closely, here are two holes in the passenger door where the frontmirror support attaches to the door. I have that piece, nd if you look at the driver side, ou can see that it's in place there.
  • The seatbelts are marked as original Ford. There is one buckle that is missing a small decorative medallion. I have that medallion and it is included.
  • I just did a transmission service with new t-fluid and filter.
  • I just changed the differential lube.
  • I just installed new plugs.
  • I just adjusted the points and timed it. Cap and rotor look new. Wires look new.
  • There was an issue with runability after it warmed up. Iinstalled a choke kit changing the choke fromhot to electrically controlled. It works great and the motor runs smooth. And I really like the way thetruck drives, t feelslight with the larger springs reminding you that it was built to carry the extra freight. The truck drives great! Very tight. NO smoke, o drips! A very honest vehicle.
  • The oil was just changed.
  • The air filter is like new.
  • Wiper blades are like new.
Not sure what I can add. If you have been looking for a really nice older truck, his is it. If you were going to restore one of these, ou couldn't come close to duplicating this truck for the asking dollars. PLUS...they are only original once! Clean title in hand.
